Delay in 991 Turbo S Deliveries

ORIGINAL: Z80 Is there a technical reason or something I'm unaware of that they shouldn't be painted?
I think it's more to do with profits...[;)] They should be painted as I think the black plastic bits cheapen the car considerably..IMHO I certainly look forward to seeing the result of them being colour coded.

I wondered if it might be something to do with stone chips and that if they're left black they might not show the dents and chips as much. Dunno.

I think they would look very nice with a carbon fibre wrap or dip. Much more like a 150 grand motor.[:)] Regards, Clive.

A Tweet: @owenmildenhall Need to check the archive but today I think we recorded the fastest 0-60 time ever in an @AutoExpress road test. pic.twitter.com/zSKfEyjSwq Pic is of a Turbo S….

went for a spin this afternoon when the rain stopped and Dropped into into Portsmouth OPC - they had a 991 turbo s in the back about to go out to a customer and offered to let me have a look around (thanks Chris) Interestingly it was parked up against a 997 turbo s and I must say it looked - I don' t know more purposeful? The 991 was grey with a red leather interior and yellow dials!! (Perhaps he/she had come from a 430/458?)£152k apparently!! Hey and that's some set of PCCB's they 've put on the front Tony

Speaking with a couple of OPC recently it would appear that the delivery delays with turbos are largely resolved. Like others have said already the problem related to the front aero splitter. Some OPC have cars in the factory system for January build which are still speccable (?sp) so anyone who hasn't ordered yet but is tempted to get into an early 14 plate car now maybe the time. Also anyone looking for an immaculate 13 plate C2S, one careful owner, might give OPC Silverstone a ring. Just sayin’

East London have a few in the used showroom ....... I'll wait for the Gen II and facelift special 100 Jahre anniversary of the first Porsche milking Machine ..... [:D]
