Ken,

Drifting back to the subject of Dells with flat screens -

Do you find that when viewing a screen of text (for instance bulletin boards), some of the text lines are (very, very slightly) not as crisp as others?

I find that certain areas of the screen are just not q-u-i-t-e as good as others - characteristic, or fault?

Hi John,
Apologies for not replying sooner.
Like you I am keeping my screen set at the recommended 1024 - 768, I found it a little small at first, but I soon got used to it. However I did get a new pair of glasses prescribed, especially for when I am on the PC.[8|] The Optician tells me that they are a newly formulated lens; A bifocal but made similar to a varifocal, that is the one focus is on the screen the other on the key board. But they are without the normal bifocal step. I find them excellent to use.
You probably know about these through your business.

Best wishes
Ken

NOTE: these pictures have been optimised for web viewing and, therefore, produce poor printed pictures if downloaded. If anyone would like one or more particular photographs to print then let me know and I will supply a high resolution version (with the number plate visible!!). The on-line photo services (such as http://www.photobox.co.uk/index.html) produce excellent quality photos from hi-res files so you don' t need a colour printer; just email the file and the print is delivered in 24 hours)
