Discount at OPC's?

Okay so just got home last night with the deal done. :)

I highly…. Highly!…. Highly… ok hopefully you get the point…

I highly recommend speaking to Ajay at Porsche centre reading…

firstly - the service was impeccable…. Really made to feel special. Went over and above. Honestly a truly exemplary level of customer care was given.

secondly - the dealership was warm and inviting… lovely coffee, COVID safe rules really and truly applied… some dealerships feel a bit cold, not in terms of temperature but when you walk in the vibe

feels a bit off… Porsche centre reading is the opposite from that. Warm, inviting, passionate about what they are selling and happy to help you regardless of if your buying a key ring or a fully loaded 911.

thirdly the deal - sorted the deal on the phone and this was honoured in person. No issues, straight forward honest.

I was part ex my car for a new cayman. Got a very good deal But fair deal.

we buy any car was offering a good price on my car (47750) and I was trying to go direct to a dealer to save them a fee from buying it off we buy any car. I’ve only had the 718 for a year but because prices have held so well it was working out that i had only lost 2k since purchase. At The time of purchase I got a deposit contribution so it works out for a new 718 with bigger wheels and same spec I was having to pay 4400 (inc first year road tax) to make the transaction Which was more than I wanted to part with. the previous dealer I got the car from originally said that they would be happy to discount by £1000 and match the we buy any car price so leaving a difference of £3400(still a bit to high, I was aiming to do the transaction for £2k)... few things they said that annoyed me a bit etc so I moved on to contacting different centres… Porsche centre reading shone out from the moment they answered the phone … they have done an amazing job at making the deal come together.

I Would suggest that when buying a factory order one should one should aim for 1000 to 2000 … and when selling should aim for 500 to 1000 above the we buy any car price. Which to be honest as the dealer gets 2 transactions… I think it’s a pretty fair. Obviously deals and the outcomes vary depending on cars, economy, spec etc but I think as a general rule of thumb when part exing And purchasing cars that are around the 50k mark from Porsche then the figures above look reasonable to me.

to give that some perspective both the car purchase and the car I sold were in and around the £50k mark plus road tax.

the nice thing with Ajay at Porsche reading is that it’s all straight down the line… there was no getting there and being told the figures don’t quite work because the tires are worn by 1mm etc etc. Got there, coffee was served, looked over the car, yep we can do the deal we discussed. Job done.

its the sort I situation that if your honest and Fair about what you have to part ex and also fair and honest about wanting a deal on a purchase… you can discuss it and Ajay and he will either say, yes we can work with that or no we can’t work with that.

could not recommend the centre and Ajay enough. Top class!

It is a rare occasion and is properly nice dealing with straight down line people that deliver on what they say and provide exceptional service.

good luck

p.s

Ajay .. Porsche centre reading … 10/10

I drove 100 miles to get there and it was well worth it for the service.
