Discs and pads on a 2003 facelift S

Maybe its a good idea to do both, use new bolts (which come coated in thread locker) and coat the upper part of the bolt with copper grease or aluslip.

One thing that I was never happy with is the bolts are threaded all the way up to the bolt head, high tensile bolts are never threaded all the way up to improve their strength, bad design I think.

We do both agree that its a good idea to use new bolts [;)] (and they are cheap enough)

Its easy as the links show, the only thing to take care is when installing the brake pipe bracket bolt, the bracket plate has a slot on the back, don't force it and don't over tighten the small bolt.

Buy a 10mm hex socket and then you can torque up the bolts to the correct value or just use a 10mm Alan key and extension tube to remove the Caliper bolts.

Another tip, if your lucky when the caliper has been removed, you can use your fingers to fully push back the pistons, readly for the new pads.

Back to the question of make, I thought that Brembo made the discs and pads. Certainly the pins and spring come in Brembo packaging. Is Brembo just a brand name for another maufacturer?
 
And Textar (T4045 FF) made the pads recently supplied by an OPC under Porsche part no 996.352.939.03 (Rear pads for 3.2S)
