Alex,
What are your concerns about DMS ?
Yves
No specific concerns, just that if I am going to invalidate my warranty then at least I would want to go with someone that has a very good global reputation, and ideally races Porsches competitively so they really do know what they are talking about. RS-Tuning (in conjunction with Cargraphic in this case) is such a brand from what I have heard.
For example; I have never come across a US based Porsche owner who has DMS mods - whereas lots of the US guys import Ruf/Cargraphic/RS-Tuning/Techart/Tubi/etc from the continent.
DMS may be the very best, but frankly I would rather go with a tuner that has already had hundreds of test guinea pig Turbo owners before me, versus just a handful.

maybe dms are the way to go for 996tt's then, this taken from a previous post on here then? ps Has there been a 100 modified 997tt's yet never mind hundreds? Not trying to take one side or the other here just trying to get a balanced base of knowledge.
"If you would like to give me a call on Monday when I am back in the office I will be more than happy to give you half a dozen numbers you can can call at random out of the 350 plus 996 turbos we have upgraded over the last three years.

What I am saying is that I haven't seen 1 report from a 997 Turbo OWNER who has used DMS - whereas there are a quite a few guys now on the web who are very happy with their European/US tuning kits.
I am hesitant to follow any journalist reports where a car is tested for a single day and they have no real insight onto longer-term ownership issues that may arise from modifying the car.
Conversely if DMS can provide a large list of satisfied 997 Turbo customers then I am more than willing to consider taking my car to them next year.
As with most tuning companies I think 996 Turbo experience will be a lot greater than for 997, especially with the new VTG setup thrown in the mix.

However, now I've seen Parr are doing Cargraphic, the research continues!
Does anyone know what exhaust systems DMS and West use? Is it Milltek? This is a very key point for me, it's a lot of money to end up with something that sounds like it's driving out of Halfords car park. In fact I'd rather no change whatsover aurally than anything nasty, the quad tips are just so much better looking though. So if anyone has nice clear sound files that would be great. I know there are some on YouTube.
Finally can you safely add the exhaust first and then add a remap after?

got a 997 turbo on order cant decide colour wife said black with black interior help?
Speed yellow (the new silver) with black leather c0ckpit - Awesome!
Incidentially I was less than impressed in my first outing in a demo 997 turbo, but 6 months on I have found my car to be light years on from my previous 996TT. [

Clive
Im waiting for my 997tt to cross the sea at the mo! Should of left the factory yesterday (25th).
Ive gone for carrera white with black interior with white stiching.
My uncles got a 996tt with 550bhp of DMS upgrades! Cannot fault it in anyway.
Drives amazingly unbelivable power and throws you so far back in your seat!
Spoke to Mike at DMS a number of times and they know what there doing there and very helpfull.
All the testing is carried out on there own car and i know for a fact that they wouldnt put anything out untill Mike and Rob were both happy with it.
Gonna save my pennies now and then head straight down the m3 to Southhampton for some more power!
Has anyone got any idea how long from leaving the factory to picking the car up takes?

Just thought I ought to pop my head over the parapet. Mainly in response to a number of replies. The very thing we don't do as a company is use our valued customer base as guinea pigs. The reason most of our satisfied customers do not openly publicise their satisfaction is for the same reason they do not drive it into the OPC with 'Tuned by DMS' written in 2 foot high letters on the side of the car. If any of you would like to give me a call at DMS I'd only be too happy to give you contact numbers for customers of the 997 Turbo that have had 1) ECU upgrades, 2) ECU and Exhaust, 3) ECU, exhaust, manifolds and hybrid VG turbochargers.
Our exhaust is our own exhaust in stainless steel with a lifetime guarantee. It is UK manufactured by one of the best known companies that have been established for over 40 years.
I think if anyone took stock of the reviews in EVO and GT Porsche it was confirmed it didn't sound like someone driving out of Halfords.
If anyone is seriously thinking of spending a reasonable amount of money then I would strongly suggest a trip to us and hear the car first hand rather than listen to it on You Tube with all the acoustics of a Heinz bean tin.Or we can try and find a customer in your area.
I'm not saying that ours is the best but our customers seem pretty happy and we do give our upgraded cars to the critical motoring press to evaluate.
All our work also has a no quibble 100% money back guarantee.
