A very reputable indie swears by this (from Snap-On) for removing stubborn hex heads. Thought this might help. Nothing like having the right tool []

Roddy, the middle Allen bolt does not have enough space to allow you to use it - there is an oval opening in the engine shroud which has a 5mm lip all around which obstructs access - I bought a set costing over £20 and it was useless. If you stripped the ones either side I think it will be OK. Buy the proper Allen key socket before you start - it will be £10 well spent.
