Dont buy a cayenne

I have had a V6 for 18 months and 25,000 miles and would highly recommend it, handles very well. 20 mph. tyres 18,000. But its not the fastest of cars to 60 after that its fine. I am going to trade up to the V8 but only because I want a little more power at the low end.

That really is interesting that you get average of 20mpg from the V6. I've never reset the mpg average on my V8 and it reads 18.5 mpg after 36,000 miles. It's used as a real workhorse, and often full to the brim with gear, charging cross country. Would have thought the V6 would have been a bit better than that.

I thought much the same but apparently the V8 doesn't have to work as hard as the V6 so the fuel efficiency is better

James.

I would say your friends do not have a point. I purchased a Cayenne S just before Christmas - it was the perfect gift. It is a great driving machine, safe, fast and plenty of room. I test drove both the Range Rover and the X5 before picking the Cayenne - it is easily the best of the bunch. The Rover handled like is large bus - the X5 was quite good but he Porsche is streets ahead.

Best thing to do is to go for a few test drives and compare this to the opposition - you will soon appreciate what this car has to offer from it's stable handelling on the country roads to motorway driving.

Best of luck,

John.

I was surprised. I had a Cayenne V6 while my car was serviced.
The fuel economy was worse than my turbo 996, that's driving the Cayenne quite gently and the turbo not so gently.
I used £15 of fuel for no more than 60 miles.

Wait for the Audi 4.0 ltr Diesel Sport unit awesome will blow everything away in 4X4 World come on Porsche get on with it I want one..........Cayenne SD please please please.........

Just looked at the new Audi Q7to see what the fuss is about, 4.0 litre diesel or not it looks bloody awful. And people dont like the looks of the cayenne, they best go back to their X5's.

Q7 is ugly ...
