Door Card Upgrade (Speakers)

I did have a couple of 6x9's in there! They went in fine but I had problems with something in the door resonating (mainly the drivers door?), probably could have cured it with lots of soundproofing but never found the time.[&o]
 
You managed to fit 6x9 on the doorcard itself, did you have to modify anything ? How did it sound ? Got any pics of what it looks like ?
 
No I fitted them in the doors on MDF panels, my door cards are different to yours as I had the factory option speakers in there already.
As I say the door resonated badly, in fact I think the speakers stayed still and the door moved when I turned up the volume!
I figured it was going to take a lot of work to sort out so I just reverted to fitting better speakers in the original housings.
