Dyno Day - Carrera 3.2... ?

Hey guys... looky here

Q:- when are we going to do the same for the 3.2's ?

If we have done this already then apologies...if not, then shall we organise ?

Steve,

Excellent idea. Did think of having a dyno run pulled on the car to assess the state of the engine overall - assume the results would help to validate this. I believe the engine is great, but would like to know how much power etc. it really makes.

At £30 a go its a bargain !

I am interested but need to know where and when this would take place before committing myself.

Must admit it would be nice to know what state the engine is in.

Please advise

There was a register day at JZ Machtech about this time a couple of years ago, where they were offering dyno runs for about £30. Might be worth trying to set up another of those......

Not at JZM. It was £50 and low cars like mine can't get on their rollers - and that was before the last lowering!

£30 is very cheap and I suspect you would get a high turnout if you could schedule a Saturday morning.

So, if I organise at a centrally located venue, with a RR we can "trust" I suspect there is interest...

Do I read this right ?

I'm happy to organise, but would appreciate any offer of help or indeed fall behind someone elses organisation ...just thought it would be great to get 20 or so of "Ferry's Finest" together in one session

STEVE

Count me in.

I need to dyno in mid May to get the AFRs so I can get a new chip burnt by Steve Wong (cutting it fine for Spa!!!) but if the timing (and price) is right I will turn up for another dyno pull for sure.

Maybe everyone should throw in an extra £1-5 so that prizes can be awarded for the strongest/weakest/best sounding 3.2 on the day? Something from the club shop maybe for prizes.

Silverstone is fine for me - assuming I haven't sold and got that early historic racer !

Advert is in 911 Porche World next week, so if it doesn't go then I will get on with my winter (sic) projects.

Unlike Richard in his dry double garage, I have the lovely driveway - cannot complain though, as we now have 5 great bedrooms following the building work, and a lounge for the kids !!!

Richard - I'll hazard on your SSI sounding good for a prize if they are fitted by then.

Just you wait and see/hear [:D][:D][:D]

Steve Winter and I have some plans for a fairly intersting muffler. My only concern is track day noise limits.

It might look something like this

Count me in, providing the usual (date time etc)

It would be good to meet up with some of you guys and put names to faces. Should we arrange a run out for late afternoon?

BTW nice wheels Jamie - but tell me - is she any better than a 3.2?

Have I missed this, or is still avaliable?
Would be nice to know how the car's doing and meet up with other owners.
