East Northants

Hold on...

There is something happening in Northants you need to be aware of...

There is something bright....almost white hanging up in the sky...and behind it is this blue thing...sort of like a background. I'm so scared to go out. Should we cancel ? In case you have trouble interpreting this, I have enclosed a picture.

Any idea ?

Humph! (grumble, grumble),

Well, far be it from me to say "success" but I'm going to say:- "success !"

Yvonne, Roger, Jeff, Johnnie, Paul, myself , Jonathan - (who JG enrolled to the club because he just happened to turn up in a 928 - in fact he was just out for a pint !)...

We all turned up at the Sywell Aviator, with clear skies and setting sun to jaw and discuss future road trips. Other topics that were buried were:-

Chips Away Franchises (the very best luck to Diver)
Mini's
Cars
Football (15 seconds)
How to fit a family in a 911.
Road trip to Switzerland
Mini's
What's on the menu
Oh....and Porsche's [;)]

A nice way to spend a summers evening with some really pretty cars in this perfect 1930's hotel / aerodrome.

a) a regular venue ?
b) a regular idea ?

Any ideas...most welcome !

Great example of the benefits to the members of having the Forum. Glad to see it went well. Given it was at Sywell I am tempted to call it a "pilot" [;)]!!

Hopefully, the idea of a mid-week meeting will "take off" (another pun ), but it needs the Region's members to run this (or a new RO [:)]) as I'm rarely home early during the week. So come on, step forward.........

(Does JG get the Club's marketing award this month?!)

"Football (15 seconds) " lets just say you were lucky , it could have
been all night [:D]

Steve you forgot cycling and scarey bike crashes .

It certainly is a nice venue and it was a enjoyable evening

Great crack, would certainly like to do it again so yes, let's make it a regular thing if anyone else is up for it.

Hopefully we will also have another new member in the shape of Mr John Watts who I think enjoyed his quick drive of my car enough to go on and buy his own in due course. If the smile on his Dad's face was anything to go by when he got out of Jeff's car, he'll be a 964RS owner by this weekend. Excellent work chaps [;)]

Just got back from hols, won't mention that I was in Cyprus, 32 in the shade, not a cloud in the sky . . . whoops too late. Sorry I missed this first mid-week event, I was committed to an Art Gallery Preview night and Pimms at B&O in Northampton but looking forward to the next one. Can we firm up on a Day, Venue, Time?

Lovely relaxed evening and a great location. It just needed a couple of light aircraft to take off or land while we eating in the conservatory to make it perfect.

Food portions were excellent too. The lasagne had me really struggling

On hols next week , be up for another in September , which isn't that far away now .

Soon be Christmas [:)]

Shall we make it Sywell again ? Of course, I'm happy because it's a few miles from me, but equally happy to travel a few miles further east. The only problem I can envisage is that if we go too far east, we might be the only 2 there ! [;)]

Set the date on here ?

Sorry not good for us ( but it's likely not everyone who wants to go to a meet can make all the dates )

ACE Cafe Italian Job auction ( in aid of NCH ) 1st September , got to be there as I'm the auctioneer [:D]

Any other dates suitable in September ??
