Bugger. Were you looking into the possibility of buying one or am I hopelessly confused?
Yes, sort of, I looked at them when I had a 'how to save some weight moment'. Although expensive I worked out that it was actually cheaper than buying, fitting and painting a set of FG wings, and it saved more weight (16kg). For a race car I can see their value but Lithium batteries have their limits.
Voltphreaks seemed to have the best tech at the time, they come with a system that automatically shuts down the battery to leave enough voltage to start the engine should you leave your lights on, etc. The VPH750 was the model Voltphreaks suggested for the 944.

One small battery was enough to power my series one car, but the only electric feature on that was the blower!

Im half looking at this range at the moment, but Im unsure as to which size to opt for.
The largest capacity of those Furore batteries is only equivalent to the bike battery YTX20L-BS and they are only 18Ah
Is that really going to be enough capacity to start one of our big old four bangers?
Those Voltphreaks Li-ons look just the job, but will be over £600 after delivery and VAT [

Mine will start off an old 18ah battery robbed from a fire alarm PSU, also those cheap jumpstart packs you can buy can't have much of a battery in.ORIGINAL: Diver944

Also, a lithium battery CANNOT be allowed to be fully discharged as this renders them useless, hence the failsafe with the voltphreaks, if the ones you listed do not have this leaving lights on could be an expensive mistake. If I were to buy a lithium battery I would probably invest a bit more and get the latest tech and therefore best performance/longevity.

Which copes, the only thing is the terminals are really small 10mm bolts, so you cant put a big lug on the cable.
It compromises the CCA, because you end up with 110 A lugs :

which in turn compromises the cable you can use.
