I did flush the oil coolers when I last replaced engine oil as I was trying a new brand of oil so wanted as little residues from the previous oil as possible.
As for D9 vents I doubt the efficiency of the LHS vent. It's located just above the strut mount, and considering that the heatshield for the brake booster/master cylinder completely seals this area, I'm quite sure that little to none of the heat radiating from the turbo may be extracted through this vent. This sprang to mind as I was standing below an engineless turbo raised on lifters, looking from below as the hood was closed.
Having hood louvers done in the vacuum area behind the hood latch mechanism is ultimately what I see as the best and best-looking solution to improve intercooler efficiency.
A wide open vent à la 968 turbo RS wouldn't look nice with the sleek lines of the 944T I think.
