Engine still dies - and getting worse

ORIGINAL: chrisdenton

Be aware Colin. When these chaps say things like half an hour and problem solved they haven't allowed for the "Chris Factor" . This is a very strange state of affairs where a simple half hour job becomes an all dayer and usually involves a lot of swearing and several trips to Halfords for that missing Torx Bolt driver thingy.....[:)]

However, in this case it is impossible to go wrong.......probably.

I suffer from the same affiction, thats why I'm getting someone else to do it for me!

Good news is that I have turned up a second hand unit from Porscheapart, £216.20 including P&P and VAT which hopefully should be delivered to JZMachtech around tomorrow lunchtime and, fingers crossed, back on the road for the weekend. [8D]

Just confirmed I'll be getting my baby back tomorrow. Complete with shinny new front discs and pads to solve the braking problem I was having which nearly failed the MOT last month, what with that, the second hand ECU, testing the old unit and additional labour for the original trouble shooting, I have spent nearly an awful lot - just to show I'm not a cheapskate!

Only problem now is to avoid stuffing her into a ditch with the exhuberance of being finally back in the saddle after 2 weeks.
