[EVENT] Reading Run: Sun 10 May

Has it really been 3 years since the last 'Reading Run' I organized?! Surely not.

Anyway, I attended HR Owen's Aston Martin Reading launch party (>>pics<<) night last night - and the manager Claus asked if I would be interested in doing one of my old Reading Run club drives starting at Aston Martin / Bentley / Lamborghini.

So I thought I'd put together an agenda:

Sunday 10th May 2015
Start Time: 10am - leaving for drive around 11am.
Start Address: Aston Martin Reading, Station Road, Pangbourne, West Berkshire, RG8 7AN
Look around the showrooms (albeit I am still trying to arrange early morning access to the Bentley and Lambo showrooms)
Drive - approx. 2.5hrs
Lunch: The Spring Inn, Sulhamstead (will need to pre-order everyone's meals - please contact me for a menu)

Alex Sounds good, I enjoyed those runs of old. May availability might be interrupted by Scotland tour week but otherwise I am flexible
 
I don't have that much interest in a trackday, plenty of them about and just isn't as social as a drive out with like minded people. Nowadays we do an early start to enjoy the traffic free roads and then end for breakfast or a visit. When out during the day I agree traffic can separate the cars but sometimes that's part of the fun... I've been on an open flowing roads and actually said a car to overtake might have added to the run! - that was in France mind you [:)] Alex, the Scotland run has been postponed, so May does open up for you now.
 
Alex I'm up for either option. Drive or drive/ track -as long as the track element would qualify for cover under my Marsh/ Aviva 2 track days a year - how does that go for sitting on the fence[:D] Tony
 
I'll put my thinking cap on and come up with a quiet route.... HR.Owen doesn't open until 11am on a Sunday - so we could either do a really early run and finish there, or I could maybe see if they would open say an hour earlier just for us. I am tied up most Saturdays otherwise I would suggest moving it.

Aston Martin sent me an email this morning actually. They can do: Sunday 10th May from 9am We will have Aston, Bentley, Lamborghini and the workshops to look around. Bacon butties and drinks typically provided FOC. They officially don't open until 11am but they have kindly agreed to host us early so we can get away on our drive and still make a pub lunch. I have yet to determine an exact route but I am sure I can cobble together something fun from previous routes I've done :) Please let me know if you can make the date - 10 places available for the drive...
 
Alex Please add my name (plus 1) to the list of attendees but we will duck the run/lunch if we may... 997 C2 GTS Just an extra thought ... McLaren Cars have opened a new showroom in Ascot earlier this month (biggest in the UK), and visiting last Saturday I mentioned a possible visit by PCGB, which they thought might be possible. Any interest? Many Thanks Adam Tindell
 
Hi Alex I am away in Vancouver at present (porsche count today few cayenne, 1 macan, 4 x 911 and 1 x 991 GT3 in white) but will be back for the 10 th May so please put me down Thanks
 
Have updated the first post to reflect latest info. Those that have registered interest, could you please confirm that you can still make the 10th May? Also need to know if +1 (passenger) for lunch. Many thanks
