[EVENT] Reading Run: Sun 10 May

Glorious afternoon and evening here today. Shame the forecast is for dark (but dry) skies tomorrow. Fingers crossed we see some sun to showcase our super/hyper-car collection tomorrow. I should be at Aston Martin from 9:30am and Lambo will be open to us from 10am. We have exclusive access until 11am to the showrooms and workshops. Looking forward to seeing you all in the morning Alex

Many thank to all who attended today's little gathering. It was great seeing everyone. Hospitality at Aston Martin was spot on, the weather held and we got in a few good spurts here and there on the back roads. I will be sending my thanks to AM in due course. Hope you all enjoyed as much as I did though! A few pics from the showrooms....

Congratulations Alex, on putting on such successful event. Everyone seems to have enjoyed it and there were some stunning cars out on show. [:)] Thank you for organising this on behalf of our Register. I know only too well how much thought and effort goes into such events, but it's not rocket science either and putting on a little event like this is well within the capabilities of others. I hope very much that your success will encourage others of our membership to consider putting on a small ½ day tour in their area. It's a rewarding exercise and our Register always has a bunch of enthusiasts eager to get their cars out for a drive. So usually no trouble in filling those spaces either. [;)] Please give our thanks also to Stephen Woolley and his team at Aston Martin and Lamborghini in Pangbourne. Their generous hospitality was very much appreciated by everyone. Stephen also took some photos on my camera at the start and I'll post in a gallery of these on the Club website in due course as they would take up rather too much space in this thread. Thanks again. Clive.

Great day Alex and wonderful hospitality from the dealership team. I really enjoyed the route and meeting up with new and old friends.[:)] Great to even see the London region out on tour [:D]

Photos now up and running on the website gallery (mostly taken by Steve Woolley, Aston's Sales Manager). [:D] Regards, Clive.

You can get to it by going onto the Club's main website (just click on the top left banner on this page), click on the "Regions/Registers" tab at the top, then "Registers", "Modern", "997", finally "See all Galleries". We've 3 galleries at the moment and will be adding more as time goes on. [:)] Here's the direct link though [link=https://www.porscheclubgb.com/regions-registers/registers/modern/997/gallery]https://www.porscheclubgb.com/regions-registers/registers/modern/997/gallery[/link] Regards, Clive

Alex Many thanks for organising and thanks to AM. Team for hospitality. I really enjoyed the day and had been looking forward to it for some time - terrific convoy and some fun roads. Enjoyed meeting up with some new faces as well - toms challenge is to organise the V max morning now he talked about at Northolt as a follow up[:)] Cheers
