[FONT=arial"]Bumpled into Jethro Bovingdon from EVO (keeper of their long term 993) a few weeks ago while at Weltmeister Silverstone getting some minor work done to my virtually identical 993. He and photographer were there dyno testing a Golf R32 and a BMW 130i - BM impressive figures, Golf way down on power - barely 200 when I was there !
Anyway, exchanged a few words re the whole 993 experience so interested in his thoughts in the Fast Fleet section of the latest EVO mag - December issue.
Sounds like Jethro is having an "interesting" time getting used to the 993 - probably having been fed a steady diet of modern performance cars with a multitude of electronic nannies on board [
] !
Also interested to note that he feels that the steering is uncommunicative and rubbery at lower speeds. I wonder what tyres they are running and if the car's been set up properly.
Maybe we should write in with some tips......[
