EVO Mag PDK views

I can't believe that they would penalise the PDK box on a minor technicality like it has buttons instead of paddles. That's like saying "This car is better than that car because I prefer the colour". You can't tell me that it is more difficult to adapt from paddles to buttons than it was from maual to paddles. The important factor is how the box itself performs. I've driven a 360 paddle box and it was truly awful - i'd much prefer the manual, but i've driven a Seat DSG (basically the same as PDK in terms of it's workings) and it was awesome - superior to manual any day and far more enjoyable to drive.

I hate magazine comparisons. They design a series of tests in an attempt to objectively determine which car is the best, but then completely ignore the results and usually end up voting for the one they prefer - or the one that 'feels' best to them. Pointless. I'm not advocating that Porsche have a right to win every test going (though most of the time it seems all about finding a car that can beat them and if they can't they say the others feel better), but if you're going to the trouble of testing cars the least you can do (and credible thing to do) is stand by the results.

Magazines group test so that they can have red car diagonally on the front cover to entice the teenagers to buy the magazine instead of nuts/fhq/zit.
