Hello everyone.

The next meeting is approaching fast and I can now give final details for the event which will be at JCT Lotus Leeds, Lower Wortley, LS12 6AA. The showroom will be open so there will be plenty of juicy motors to look at.

We need an early start as a lot of people have shown interest in the event and test drives do take time!!

We plan to start at 5.30 pm so I urge anyone who can attend at that time to do so hence leaving time for later arrivals.

Three Evoras will be available with auto and manual versions. There will also be an Elise cup racer.

IF YOU WANT A TEST DRIVE YOU WILL NEED YOUR DRIVING LICENSE!!

If you want an Evora you will need about £60k in cash [:)]

A buffet is being provided by JCT at around 7.00pm

Martin Donnelly the ex Lotus F1 driver will be at the event to talk about his experiences. You may wish to Google him for some background information- it will make you wince a bit!

At the last count there were about 40 of us booked in but Lotus have included some spare capacity so if you want to attend just do so.

May I also respectfully ask that you turn up at the event if you have asked to be included. I do not really want to suffer the embarrassment of asking JCT to cater for 40 plus people and only a handfull turn up[]

Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Chris

Nice one, Chris, we'll be there. I should be able to get there around 5.30 (straight from the dentist!), L will follow a bit later straight from work.

Thanks for organising what promises to be a very interesting club night.

Ill be there with my dad, probably 5.30ish maybe a bit later as ill be coming from willerby. Do we get to test drive the cup car?

Is it Ok if I come along as I didn't book because work normally gets in the way of anything fun.

Work is quiet on the meting front so I could get their early if that's ok?

I am setting off in 20 mins once my inlaw turnes up from work in Bradford. There better be plenty of food on I am staaaaarving! :)

Excellent evening. 2 high-spirited drives in a manual Evora S, food & drink and a few conversations with Martin Donnelly. [:)]

Big thanks to Chris for a top night at JCT600. Really enjoyed taking the Evora for a spin and chatting to Martin Donnelly, he's got some great tales to tell. Great turnout too.

Look forward to the trip to Norfolk!

Night all,

Many thanks Chris & Mark for the meeting at JCT. Enjoyed the test drive but will be keeping the 928.

Chris I would be interested in going to Lotus on the drive course. Enjoyed chatting to Martin Donnelly, very luck to be still alive after his crash.

Regards
John Oakes

Cheers chris I enjoyed it to, now i wish I could have a lotus for the weekend and my 996 for my main car[:D] if only the boss would let me[;)].

Thanks, Chris for organising the evening. A good social event (i.e., a good opportunity for Sharon to practice her communiation skills) with free food and a test drive thrown in!

Liked the Evora S but would spend the £65k asking price on a used 911 instead. In the meantime, we're quite happy with the Boxster which is such a sweet drive.

Great evening Chris but unfortunately the Lotus doesn't impress. Would have preferred test drive in a Ferarri of Maserati (now, if you could organise that!!!) The food was good, although had to do Dan's tea when we got home as not into fancy foods! Nice to see new faces and, of course, the usual ones (!). Lots to talk about and Martin Donnelly's crash looked horrific, don't know how he survived. Look forward to the next meet. John & Dan

Thanks for organising last night Chris, we had a great time and it was good to see a good turnout.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Evora S, it certainly had some go to it and the £250 servicing costs sound good. Not sure it's worth £60K but I would be happy to have one as daily runner in a couple of years if they depreciate like modern every other car.

Trip to Norfolk would be fantastic if that comes off.

Thanks for organising last night. Good event and interesting motors. Evora nice, but still niggles about build quality I think. Only same performance as my 'half the price' C4 though.

Many thanks. Jon
