Ex Lee Noble car for sale

Hi Guys,

Had to join this forum to see what has been said about my car as it seems that doubts have been cast about one or two issues!

Firstly, it isn't the car that someone recalls being for sale six months ago or so and being slated by someone else!!
I bought the car in February Last year and have not advertised it at any time since that date.
My intention was to keep her but 'the wife' hates it and I have now had two lots of failed hernia surgery which has meant that realistically I need a more comfortable 'toy'. My thirteen year old loves it but can barely get in the back!

To the best of my knowledge there is nothing major wrong with her and yes, she is both oil and fluid tight!! (Thank you Strasse!)

The reason for the low mileage in the last three years is simple. Lee Noble lost interest as soon as he'd done it (according to the guy at Noble who carried out the work), sold it to Keith Robinson 'cheaply' who never used it and I have not been able to for over seven months of my ownership due to the surgery and subsequent recovery time. That and the month or so it's spent at Strasse! (I even had to SORN it earlier this year which is a first for me!) It was bought as third car/weekend toy, not a daily driver. (Though I'm sure that she would benefit from the latter).

There are only six previous owners, three up to Lee Noble.

Why would one clock a car for a handful of miles when it already has 164,000 on the clock??? It has a very comprehensive history to back up the mileage.

All in all she is a lovely 24 year old Porsche, far better in the body than my '89 S2 I had around seven years ago which had only 36,000 miles on the clock! She's not perfect, show me one that is, and I thought that the price that I have offered her at was fair given the current market.

I find it hard to comprehend why these cars are so undervalued when people will pay the earth for a Mk 2 Escort!!!

Amen to that brother [:)]

Welcome to the forum, albeit sorry that you had to do it to defend your car. We've seen and heard of so many bad luck stories over the years that any interesting car that comes up for sale always gets discussed ad infinitum. Quite often the same car will get discussed many times over the course of a few owner changes. Unfortunately the nature of forums is people forget, remember wrongly or simply embelish what they think they've heard from a mate of a mate etc. Its just like a boisterous car discussion down the pub [:D]

Good luck with your sale, it does look like a very interesting and different example, and hopefully even this discussion will help you and its new owner along the way. After all there's no such thing as bad publicity (though Sarah Ferguson may disagree just now [;)] )

Thanks Paul!

Wish I'd joined the forum sooner. Thought you had to be a PCGB member!

They are an invaluable source of information and yes I know from other forums I'm a member of that all car's that get offered for sale get commented upon in one way or another.

Like the one about Fergie by the way!

Hello and welcome to the forum. I feel a little rude to have discussed it now the owner is on the forum. Sorry to suggest it was clocked but it is very easy to do and so common place. 3 years, 3 owners and 3000miles seemed as I said - like stretching the imagination. I normally do 1000-1500miles a month on average. The idea of 3 different people owning a car and doing less than a 1000miles in it before selling it is very unusual you must admit...But given the whole story, makes more sense.
