is there an alternative to the original from OPC or Dansk ?

I've got a tin rear box from Euro Car Parts (didn't buy it - came with 924 a mate bought!) invoice says £59 Cash On Delivery.

Mine appears to be stainless so the other one may stay in the garage for a while

Purchased 2 rear boxes from this ebayer with no problems.

Lux box was not too loud but sounded deeper.

Turbo box sounded like old original.

Fit yourself in 20 mins.

So why do I so often see people talking about Dansk being the quality item ?
I know there are always cheaper alternatives with almost everything but the quality is not always there.

In my limited experience of member's comments; it fits, works well, doesn't fall apart two days after the warranty runs out and is very reasonably priced. 'Nuff said. []

so does the one that they list for the 2. lux fit the 2.7. Is that the same one?? wasnt sure if the exhausts are the same on the lux's..?

Chaps - thanks for all the responses. I've had a word with Hillcrest, our local indie, and he's on the lookout for a stock system for me. Shame, as one of our number is having his stock 968 bits replaced up there this week, but apparently it won't fit the 944.
