exhaust

As much as I don't want to do it, Im sure that I will spend half an hour later, looking at PET. Is it not the intermediate section that differs Mike?

The bits that are different on mine are the 2 x 3 bolt joints at the bottom of the 2 x 2 into 1 manifolds, the vertical section near the steering shaft, after that I cant be sure as the 2.7 has a custom one from there back.

I like the sounds from the custom setup, so took both systems off, to swap it on to the S2 and it wouldn't fit! Gaskets are the same just mirror imaged.

So I just have the custom rear, it has slightly larger tailpipe and no little box in front of the axle.

Fit a resonator silencer box. A 'de-cat' will lead to a great deal of disappointment.

Yes, a straight through pipe swap will change the engines power characteristics, as the stock mapping is not set to accommodate the increased exhaust gas velocity & flow but it can be Live mapped and Improved.

I've fitted de-cat pipes to many different vehicles which all of them lost noticeable midrange torque, However 2 of them I had remapped
and the difference was a substantial Improvement in Power & torque (One was a Diesel Turbo and the other my 2.7 N/A)
