Extended is coming !

Apparently - and surprisingly - not. See http://www.porsche.com/uk/accessoriesandservice/porscheservice/warrantyperiods/ORIGINAL: Peely
Does the extended warranty vary in price with models ?
ie C2S compared to Turbo's and GT3's etc ?
You can reduce the cost by opting out of Porsche roadside assistance, and if you can talk the OPC into doing the 111-point check for free.

Thanks, yeah seems surprising that ?
I was also told that the 111 check is in the price of £1290.50 but reading other replies, seems a lot can be down to negotiating ! []

Just a quick update on the extended warranty on my Targa 4S.
I too got the same price from my OPC, and decided it was worth going for it.
I also got the two year service completed at the same time, so its all updated now.
The service lady at OPC had great delight in showing me the parts cost price of the new rear LED lights, which if had not been replaced under warranty would have cost almost £600! alone.
My car is now also looking better in the wheel department thanks to its shiny new wheel nuts all around again fitted under warranty.
I decided not to go for the roadside assistance or whatever its called, as I have full AA cover which I need to cover all the other cars in the Pugh household fleet!!
All in the cost was about £1600 which is not cheap, but considering the potential cost of something like the PDK needing work I though it was worth it!!
So here's to another 12 months of happy 911 ownership!!
Nige.

2yr service done, 12mths extended warranty and brake fluid change. Decided not to go with Porsche assist as I too have cover from RAC for a lot less than £169 !
Must admit though didn't feel any different on the way home that when I took it yesterday, apart from the tremendous feeling of getting back in your own car after driving their low rent courtesy car, and realising again why you bought Porsche in the first place ! []

Yes I forgot to mention that I had the brake fluid change too, not sure why though, I have had a 20 year old land rover and I bet that only had its brake fluid changed when it ran out of the broken pipes!!
I was quite lucky with my OPC and the loan car provided though, as they gave me a brand new Panermera 4 , although I suspect that is because they want me to buy one in the near future!!

I took the full package but need to call them as no club discount was on the bill[]
New wheel centres to tidy her up[]
I took it in a day early myself as the battery was completly dead, I could have called Porsche assist but thought it was as easy to get it started and dropped off.
No loan car supplied this time round- but not needed either..
4year service plus plugs and the parts + warranty (with free 111 inspection)... sadly no where near the costs you guys are mentioning []
Needs to have the geometry looked at after the work done but I requested the OPC not to do it.
Its at CG on the 5th []

I'm fairly sure 'Porsche Assist' is 'assisted' by the RAC []
I certainly can't complain after my recent use of the system..

I have just renewed mine there and it was combined with a service.ORIGINAL: evansash
Were Solihull one of the dealers who will discount as Iam there next week for pre renewal warranty?
If your car is going in for a service at the same time then speak to Des or Gemma prior and see what they can do..
Be very clear- there is no discount available on the warranty part itself.- just the inspection

I doubt anyone will discount the prices by much for just a warranty deal, but if you're having a service at the same time, which is apparently half of the 111 inspection, it's well worth a ring around !
