Exterior colour

Rare? Of the standard colours, I would guess Nile Green?

Most sought-after? Personally, Maritime Bue. Perfect on a 944 cab.

Its funny how perceptions change. When I owned a Maritime Blue car in the early nineties everyone hated it - now its the colour of choice.

I must be the odd one out, don't think a Maritime suits the 944 , it looks too ÂŁ300 back street spray job to me.

There's one on EBay now, item number 141284787966

Sorry [&o]

I believe that that may be one of the original 6-7 UK Maritime Blue S2s.

Mine was a 968, although I first saw it on a 944, hence my choosing it when I cam to buy.

Looking at the ebay car it's a ÂŁ4K respray job! [&:]

That isn't a fair car to judge the colour by, though. The side decals and silver rear valance, and the wrong wheels, just ruin it for me.

I wonder if Maritime is a colour that only works on a cab? Maybe it needs the black roof, or no roof, or it's all a bit too blue?

It definitely suits a 968 but looking at that ad it suits a 944 too. Although the decal needs to go, rear valance back to blue and the decal off.

Makes a nice change to the rest of the crap that seller appears to be trying to get rid of [:D]

I love my Maritime blue...its the best colour !

Are you sure it wasn't just you Simon? [;)]

We may be talking at crossed purposes, but no one seemed to like it apart from me. Move forward twenty years and everyone seems to love it.

I couldn't possibly confirm whether I was insinuating that it was the driver they hated rather than the colour of the car.

I'd never dream of being so rude (that's what Facebook is for).

I am confused by this thread, are we talking original colours for 944, or all Porsche colours? In which case I don't think you can beat riviera blue.
