He then ran a test to make sure it was working. The test was that he timed how long it took the rad fans to cool the engine i.e. how long they ran for from switching on to switching off. The Porsche book says 2 minutes with the engine running and 4 minutes with the engine off as when the engine is off only one of the two fans runs to conserve battery power. Mine was outside those limits so he did a bit more troubleshooting and found the thermostat was not working properly, so that was changed. Anyway it brought my cooling times back within limits.

That's true, but all S2 cars have dual fans and a three-pin sender even if they don't have A/C.

You basically have to get your hand through a very small gap to remove and refit
Did mine from below, no problem.
Any body know the on and off temperatures for both circuits in the dual switch?
