Fantasy Garage

Evening all,

Just been looking at a 3.8 RSR (only photos sadly!) and it got me thinking about my ultimate collection if I'm ever successful enough to have one!

My 5 cars including one for daily use would be:

964 3.8 RSR
F40
DTM E30 M3
Integrale Evo 2
993TT for everyday

and a B5 Audi RS4 for the missus [8|]

I guess a few people on here will be Porsche through and through, anyone else care to share their ultimate collection?

Cheers,
Bryn.

Bryn,

Oh dear, you have made me feel I need to get out more. I don't have enough car experiences under my belt to be able to know.

Very happy with my 993 (and my RAV4 when I need to cart a load of stuff about)

Sad, I know....[8|]

I don't think thats anything to worry about Mark, its great that your 993 is your perfect car [:)]

Its only a fantasy garage anyway, cars that you'd like, not necassarily practical ones or ones you have first hand experience of.

I wonder how many people on here would have 5 964 RS variants [:D]

Cheers,
Bryn.

Edited to say: Nice bike by the way! I had a very trick Marin Pine FRS a long time ago. I do still miss it too!

My cars would be:

Daily a range rover sport
Weekends and hot weather a 964 turbo with 19" wheels and lots of power mods
For fun a Ford anglia with a v8 and wheely bars!
Another Suzuki TL1000R

Lifes a dream but it doesnt have to be if you want it that much!!

'60's 911 with period tuning mods
Mk1 Mini Cooper S with period tuning mods in white
964RS Lightweight in black
Mercedes SL Pagoda in dark blue with tan leather
997 GT3RS in black and orange for day to day

A new Boxster S for my Mrs (which can live on the drive, so not technically subject to the 5-car rule [;)] )

Hi Bryn,
I think one 964rs is enough and I think the basic is the one to have and the most user friendly.
We have also a Z3 2.2 one of the last made and 220 cdi Sport estate to carry bikes!
I know there are many cyclists on the forum.
2 MTBs -Trick stumpjumper H/Tail. Very light classic steel Diamond Back.
4 Steel,1 Titanium and 1 Carbon road race bike.
Our Sat Mtb session incude 6 911 owners.
My rs kms this year 2000.
Cycling 8000km.
I would be nice to have a garage big enough for 5 cars.

Wayne I once drove a MK1 Cortina with a Corvette engine. It was back in the late 60,s in NZ. Only 4th gear was needed and it did not like stopping! There was quite a bit of that sort of thing going on in those days.

Jeff

997 C2S - Regular Transport
F430 - Poser
Caterham Roadsport - Fun
Range-Rover Diesel V8 - Load Lugger
BMW 120D M Sport - Shopper

Probably just my dry sense of humour, but am I the only one who thought it ironic that Bryn started a thread entitled "Fantasy Garage"? Des?
Sorry, I shut up. [;)]

Anyway, my very own Fantasy Garage...

Ford GT40 (a real metal one)
VW Karmann Ghia Coupe
VW Sandrail with big Gene Berg Engine
1970's De Tomaso Pantera (had a matchbox toy as a kid and always said I'd own one but would probably regret it)
The Pink Panther Car (from the opening credits of the Pink Panther TV Show)
Bentley Turbo R
RenaultSport Clio V6 Mk1
V8 engined Landrover
BMW M5 Touring (daily hack)
and a big JCB digger just for having fun with in the garden.

I do like my old modded cars. A mate had a v8 anglia and it was great fun.
I have my eye on an anglia at the moment!

Only 5 cars????

Well daily driver the 993 C2S I have is perfect for my needs.
The fun car can't be changed... the Biturbo nasty is more than enough on that front...
Missus would look good in the upcoming RS6 with the Lambo V10...
I'd have to have a 917 Kurz for the historic events, and similarly a '73 RS for the historic tours.

Dang, that's 5 already... and I'd really like to have my old Clio V6 Racecar back for posterity... since they were so unreliable you would never actually use it perhaps I can count that as a wall ornament rather than a car??

OK maybe we can allow one more car each as I forgot my Dauer 962 [;)]

Cheers,
Bryn.

But that's a slippery slope Bryn... as I've no room for the Stratos nor the Group B 205T16, 6R4, 959, 280GTO nor Quattro S1 currently... the other option is the £1mm garage, but sadly I've blown that on the 917k already I guess

what a good idea for a thread...
Smallspeed you read my mind.
silver Mercedes280SL Pagoda.
Blue Ferrari 250GT Lusso
mk 1 Morris Cooper in Tartan red number one... (why did I ever sell it?)[:(]
grey 88" Series 2A Landrover pick-up with 2" lift and big tyres and modern running gear.
1937 Bugatti Type57SC Atlantic or 1937 Figony et Falaschi bodied Talbot Lago
and a Bahama Yellow '72 2.4S 911 as a daily.

so many cars. so little garage space

964 Cup
993 convertible
Volvo P 544 with tuning mods of the 60s (2 double Weber carbs!)
John Milner´s yellow deuce coupe from the movie American Graffiti
Porsche 917 KH Gulf livery no. 20 Le Mans 1970

and a classic pick up truck with some conversions (pb, ps autotranny, V8) as a working horse!

What a dream for long winter nights!
