Father’s Day Motor Show at Castle Howard, Sunday 20 June 2021
- Thread starter PeterJRolt
- Start date
Hi Peter
We asked to be included as attendees on 8th June, but as I cant see any response I wondered if I had not posted correctly not having used the Forum before?
We would like very much to attend with our 997.2 GT3, and presume from other responses it is pay on entry?
Please confirm we are ok for this.

Peter, due to a change in family arrangements for Father’s Day, Sorry but Sally & I will not be able to attend this event.
Pete,
Could you please add me to the list of attendees. (964 + 2 PCGB members)
Thanks

Hello Colin, I did see your message and added you to the list on post number 1, we were away in the Lake District without a computer so I was working the events from my mobile phone which was problematic to say the least.colin.baldwin@btinternet.com said:Hi Peter

I apologise for not responding to all messages, there should have been an email stating someone had marked your post as "helpful" which was me, we had three events running and sadly I may have missed responding to some of the dozens of messages.
I do hope the weather allows us all to have a great day on Sunday and we look forward to meeting you.
The event is pay on entry as you have already noticed, I am updating post number 1 with any information I receive, or any useful advice from previous attendees.
The organisers are aware we intend to have around thirty cars so we are praying for nice weather.
Best regards
Peter
I will add you to the list on the first post John, similarly if I have missed anyone please let me know.

Hi Pete. Very sorry for the late notice, but I now can't make it on Sunday. The reason I left my original booking so late was in anticipation of either my son or daughter arranging something for father's day but nothing happened. Now today, very late in the day, my daughter has announced she's coming up to Nafferton from Buckinghamshire tomorrow to take me (and Jill) out on Sunday for a treat. Already got the picnic sorted for Sunday (can be collected from here if anyone's interested). Hope all goes well for everybody at Castle Howard. Thanks, and sorry for messing you about. Ian.
That's fine Ian, being Fathers Day there are bound to be situations such as this, just as I won't begrudge people deciding to pass, if Sunday's event becomes aquatic.ianmarsden said:Hi Pete. Sorry for the late notice, we had family commitments that have now fallen through. However, we would love to attend.
Would it be possible to add Joe & Luke (in one car)?
Looking forward to the event.
Thanks
Joe
Shouldn't imagine there will be a problem.
See you tomorrow.
Pete
Apparently there will be speed cameras on the A64 tomorrow, at least two, possibly four
Thank you everyone for supporting us at Castle Howard, it was a short notice event for R7 and looked like it could be a wet one too.
Despite that we had over thirty cars involved and the day was very enjoyable, my forehead is still telling me rain wasn't an issue and that I needed my sun hat!
