Favourite car cleaning product?

Favourite cleaning product in a word ..... Rainwater from the water butt !! , started using it for both my motors since last summer instead of tap water and the ease of washing the car is great. We live in a very hard water area and I was getting pee'd off with how hard it was to get the water marks off the paintwork and even harder from the glass, especially in the summer when it dries really quickly. I changed to rainwater and the difference was amazing, I don't even need to leather the car off ! No water marks, and once it's dried it's ready to polish.
I use turtle wax zip wash to wash it with ( rainwater with it as well - bloody freezing in the winter ! ) , then Autoglym resin polish and armourall for the vinyl , plastic and rubber.

Simples

I'm not even going into this, I used to do a bit of detailing so have 7 plastic tubs full of products. From different machine polishing compounds through to different chemical sealants and several Zymol waxes.

This is the panel washed and clayed with the sticker removed and also soaked with AutoGlym tar remover:

And after a quick tickle over with some Menzerna polishes:

I'm going to sound really cheap but Aldi's car/dash wipes when they have them in. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to cleaning the inside of cars and these are amazing much better than any others I have tried autoglym ect plus they only cost ~£2 a tub really do recommend buying several boxes when they rarely have them in. They are terrible for cleaning headunit screens, glass and dial covers though unfortunately.

Asked my dad and he's said the well at the bottom of our garden as it provides unlimited clean free water.

Move to Cumbria lads our water is lovely, very "soft" with no lime !!! on a serious note my dogs prefer to drink the rainwater that is caught in various tubs and buckets in the garden as it is not full of crap being stuck into it by united utilities.

Satin Black paint is great for valeting as well,
This is a superbly useful spray paint (Hammerite) - I always have a can to hand when working on suspension / brakes / engine compartment.

Dont laugh, mine is white vinegar.

Cleans everything, removes many stains, dissolves some corrosive elements on ally and chrome without damaging the surface (great for removing calcium from bathroom and kitchen taps and showers etc), removes marks from carpet, degreases, sanitises seats and carpets as its antiseptic and especially brilliant if you clean your windscreen and wiper rubbers as it makes the screen streak free and the wipers squeaky clean, great on glass and mirrors.

Dont mix it up with the brown stuff you put on yer chips mind!!

Meguiars #105 and #205 are my choice of products for the moment. #105 really does revive poor paintwork to a superb standand with #205 adding that extra bit of bling to the mix :). 105 is the compond with 205 being the polish.

A friend recommended for me to get 3M Fast Cut Plus saying that it finished off very well by itself and that 205 gave the extra shine. Since the #105 was on offer I figured I would give it a try. A superb product I must say :).

Otherwise, a Wet Vac is a wonderful device.
