oh dear .........i hope u did nt have to agree to buy his matching fence ?..................key in all Sambas piccies, almost a trademark ....................

I think SCOM may have 'jumped the gun' a bit...I'm sure Martin will explain in his own time.[;)]

Got it and replied. Cheers. As for our friend Martin, if there is anything we can do being in the UK, its merely a case of asking. Ciao, Bert

So much moaning, has nobody got a decent word to say about the article? I actually thought it was a good read with some consideration for road driving. The fact that a standard-ish 964RS makes a flawed but superbly thrilling road car came across very well and I felt that the article reflected my experiences for once. Granted the author was biased but he clearly loved the'64 and gave it the nod over the'93. Good man. Having driven a 993RS on the road, I know what he means. Ian

The Monkey Bum 964RS was mine actually. Ex Sambaman's. I had it for 2 years.... I'm confused- who bought it?? Also- I was as surprised as anyone to see "my" car in the GT Porsche Mag, whilst it was for sale @SCOM. Wasn't informed of any useage as seen in mag???????? Not entirely happy. A phone call to check I was OK with it would've been the done thing! IMO! Tell me I'm wrong.....

Would have been the polite thing to do, your right! After all a 2 min phone call for all that advertising is the least they could have done.

If that's true then that's really really shocking! Martin who started this thread bought it.

I 'm not sure if the car was used for the article before or after i bought it, John did mention the article in his sales pitch but i don't know if the photo shoot had already taken place. Either way, the owners permission wasn't asked. @Bert, Thanks!, have you had chance to look for the RS colour article yet? Martin

Martin, Hope you are enjoying the car. It certainly is an epic drive. As I'm sure you'll appreciate- it's been well looked after! Wanted for nothing really. Good luck and let us know what you think- once the roads dry out...... PS It's lethal in the wet- watch out- big style...![:)]

Yes it is a lovely car. Too precious though. I want a car I can drive hard. Hankering after a GT3 at the mo. Just waiting for the lottery ticket numbers to come up!! Have my eye on one or two options. Will let you know[;)]
