So... people in the Porsche owners club have never broken the speed limit and only attend events if they can bring their own picnic.

Sorry to remind you, but at the National event at Highclere Castle in 1999, a Porsche was involved in a high speed crash that resulted in the death of an elderly gentleman who was driving his VW Golf.

Peter I remember that event well & I thought the Porsche driver was racing another Porsche driver when the unfortunate accident happened & the Volkswagen Golf owner lost his life.

For all those attending The Yorkshire Porsche Festival, please be aware that there is a very high chance that there will be speed cameras in the area on Saturday, the last 4 times that I have recently been to The Motorist they have been active within the area moving location during the day. They are normally around the Cawood area, so if you are traveling from the A1 or from Cawood please be speed aware. Wouldn't want this to spoil a good day.

The police vans park up on the Sherburn bypass, so if you are coming from the south (ish) take it easy after the South Milford round about.

Coming from Tadcaster, two spots, one as you come out of Barkston Ash, the other on the Sherburn bypass again.

The Motorists catering will cope no problem.

Plus don't we get either a Breakfast sandwich (AM) or Hog Roast (PM) as part of the ticket?
