Finally Collected the Car

Nah, it'll never catch on. I rue the day they moved the brake pedal from the right to the middle...........[;)]

Yes, and I also miss the passing of the starting handle option. Build completion due 3rd Feb, Dougie[8D]

Bet you cant wait you lucky so and so[:D] I miss the fun of trying not to knock down the guy with the flag[:D][:D] Off to lust over blueSL's car

ORIGINAL: blueSL Looks great, Greg, enjoy! Sport chrono, Adaptive Sports Seat, ALuminium Mirror arms, Delete Rear Wiper and... Floor Mats! What else? [Edit: front spoiler, side skirts as well....]
Thanks but the car's stayed in my garage since collection. I'm stupid & quite forgot at ordering time that the UK weather is, well, UK weatherish at this time of year. The country lanes round here are really mucky. Also Electric sun roof, dynamic cornering lights, painted rear apron, park assist. Wasn't bothered about PDK & paddle wheel even if it shaves loads off the 0-60. Greg

I was out in mine Yesterday [8D] Brought back the reasoning why the car is so good in all weathers It had stood for 4 weeks and started first time, Brakes were a little rough to start with though [&:] I soon managed to clean them off on the dual carriageway prior to a blatt down the lanes last night[8D] Made me realise how much I missed it in the bad weather... garyw

Ditto - I gave mine an hours run on Tuesday this week (first drive this year). Was awesome throwing it into tight bends, and flooring it in such cold temps (when you get most power) When it hasn't been driven for a while it does take a while for the car to start feeling 'tight' handling wise again though. The suspension and tyres just probably need loosening/warming up first.

Gary, Alex Great (or warped) minds think alike - I have been using mine in the bad weather but only because its my primary means of transport and therefore not used for fun just trundling about. Took it out yesterday, floored it for the first time in ages and remembered that greasy roads, 2wd and 500nm can some times not be the best of bed fellows, what a hoot. Obviously in the low temp the power is up as well. (all my power runs were done at over 20c) its amazing how they change character from around town pussy cat to back road animal in an instant......[:)] Need more dry weather

I have a drive out planned next weekend, hopefully it will stay as dry as it is now... Keeps the garage queens indoors and the roads much clearer [;)] garyw

Get it out of that garage Greg. it won't melt. I've done around 3,000 miles in mine since collecting it on 2nd Nov 2009[8D]

Craig Yes, shiny both ends now [:)] Well apart from the stone chips I gathered chasing down the GTRs on a trackday - beware their number plates fall off!!! [&:] garyw

Hi again..
DSCN0720.jpg
Impressions after about 60 miles so far.. A truly great car. It's more torquey for sure and i've not switched on the 'Sport' button yet. A gruffer sounding engine and that subtle waste gate chuff on the overrun is music. Rifle bolt manual box means I get to hold onto more of the car - sort of caressing it as we both wizz up the road. Don't regret manual box choice now. It's massively quick as far as I'm concerned. Seems tighter. Cheers, Greg

Don't forget the manual advance and retard and hand throttle........ mine is also due to leave the factory at the beginning of February but thought I would wait for the change of registration on 1st March before taking delivery. You? Nick

Took a moment to catch up with that thought Nick! No, I'm not bothered about the reg date as there's a private plate going on anyway. Feel like I've waited long enough now!
