Abarth collection to die for.

Issues include the PCM3 being completely dead. I've done a Google and it appears a replacement like for like is looking like £800-£1000. I looked at the new Porsche Classic with Apple Play, but seems it is only for Gen 1 987, which is a shame.
Other issues I'm hoping the dealer will agree to sort is the broken A/C and replacement front tyres.
Brakes and suspension plus other bits will need work too, but they will be fine for 6-12months.
Overall I'm pleased that the headlines are good and hopefully the dealer will be good enough to get the critical bits sorted or I'll be walking away.
Any thoughts or advice on the above appreciated!
Ps. thanks for all those who've replied so far on my journey to being a Porsche owner!
A/C really depends on what needs fixing i.e regas or a condenser or two?
Tyres under 3mm should be replaced
Coming to a satisfactory negotiation with what the dealer is willing to repair is your next step.
Good luck
If a regal fixes it then how long will it last...
diy a full a/c rebuild is £300 in parts but easy to do with non Porsche parts.
Fresh tyres on a Boxster is fabulous as is a good factory geo set.
My suspension is all original from new and is 75k Miles in and quiet as a door mouse.
If that is all that is a bother, a good car.

The Pre-sales inspection went well, headlines were good. There are a few major things that need to be sorted (dead PCM, A/C faulty and taillight units being replaced) - dealer is sorting these and MOT'ing it too.
The car is a 2011 model with 60k miles and there was a list of stuff from the inspection that will need looking at in 12 - 24months time, possibly sooner. Obvs they all have a significant cost so I'm thinking there should be some negotiation on the asking price - or is this part of the course of buying a 12yr old sports car? I of course want the Boxster, but I also don't want to pay more than I should when I know I'll be paying out for more stuff already in the near future.
Brief run down of things that need attention in the coming year or so:
New coolant cross-over pipes (current ones corroded) Steering control arms (fix/replace?) (current ones have a bit of play, not unusual) A/C condensors (new and fix) (current ones corroded) Rear flange fixings for front CC (current one is corroded) Tail pipe clamp (current one is corroded) Front shock corrosion fix (corroded at the top of the piston shaft) New front discs (currently corroded)
Interested to hear your thoughts, folks!
TIA
I'll guess at c£2.5-3k for that lot, remembering brake discs are replaced in pairs.

The GOOD news with that lot is reliability for you and you can show a prospective buyer that the usual issues with these cars have been addressed, a selling point.
It will be nice when done!

I’m pleased to say that over the last couple of weeks, I pulled out of the purchase of the black 987S that needed loads doing to it and then test drove another 987S and bought it!!
I’m collecting it on Thursday and cannot wait!
