finaly a picture of my car

It is advertised, it's advertised elsewhere and if I was doing an obvious big it up job I would have posted a link here and made more of an effort to sell it, besides someone asked the question about it and I answered it. Tony that's a good idea may try that.

and it just so happens the feller that asked you a question comes from would you believe it ........ exeter in devon .

Yes and he's just purchased a very nice White 944 Cabrio he's also been a member for longer than I've even been driving also I don't see how living in Exeter has any relevance really. Tony is a regular at club events and was concerned as to whether I really wanted to sell it that was all. I am sorry that I've inadvertantly gone off topic from your car which is in a very nice colour, there's someone at our tipec meeting who has an S2 in the same colour and it does look nice when cleaned up.

Dodydal If I didn't live in Exeter, how would I know the car?? This is a friendly forum for club members to express concern and provide advice to other club members. Have you considered joining the club and enjoying the benefits of the camaraderie that comes with taking an active involvement with the club? I have recently bought a 944, and therefore have just started to post on this forum as well as the 3.2 Carrera. Sorry if I have offended you in some way !!

ORIGINAL: RC18B 911 turbo I want to shift it reasonably quickly. Pauly I'll swap the mirrors and suspension for your turbo[:D] .
[:D] Or I could give you Ă‚ÂŁ2.5k cash as it stands. [;)]

dodgydal; I was going to keep schtum along the lines of "if you haven't anything nice to say, don't say anything at all", but as you've decided post 27 is time to start with attitude toward Jon and Tony I'll post what I initially thought when I saw your photo; I don't think your feelings deserve to be spared after all. Hopefully it'll be all the more of a slap in the face for you as from your recent comments you were clearly desperately fishing for compliments with this thread. I think metallic pink is a bl00dy awful colour for a 944, or indeed any car - and incidentally, despite people being gushingly complimentary above, that is how most people think which explains why you don't see very many around - and the paint on both body and wheels looks flat, so if that's it clean I don't even think it's a very nice car. I'm pretty sure in any other social situation when you're very new you wouldn't go openly accusing accepted members of the group of something underhand, so why do you think that's appropriate here? I'm afraid if you're precious about threads you start being taken off topic then you will just have to toughen up as that happens all the time on here and I don't think anyone really sees any need to change that as in the main it works pretty well. Also understand that people on here are in fact real people, and many of them know each other in real life and will use this as a medium to converse. I think both Jon and Tony have made commendably reasonable responses to what was frankly a completely unjustified accusation on your part. I have no axe to grind, so consider this a quiet word, marking your card or however you want to put it: Play nice with the other kids if you want others to play nice with you.

Fen i dont mind your honesty at all and find it much appreciated , you tend to find that little men with big jeeps are very opinionated anyway which is not a problem for me

[:D][:D] !! - this crossed my mind when I first saw the picture, but then I realised it was Velvet Red, which reminded me how unfriendly with pictures this colour actually is. I must say I did not actually like it until I got to see it in real. It's one of those colours, like Zermatt Silver or Silver Rose, that can somehow look a bit dull or "deadish" when it has faded a bit with age. I have some pics of a clean '91 turbo in Velvet Red somewhere on my HD that I took under the sun and the rendering is a bit more convincing than on dodgydal's picture (no offense intended!). Will try to post one if I can find it back.

as i said i have no intention of upsetting anybody but a bit of banter is good for the sole. Not quite sure what the last response was but your more than welcome to make it clear.

That looks much better than mine , hopefully once mine has been buffed and waxed on thursday i will get a similar look . We shall see. Thanks for digging out the pictures .

ORIGINAL: 944 LIL cripes... make mental note not to upset Fen. [;)]
He's as soft and wallowy as his Jeeps really[:D], come to think of it why the J(h)eeps anyway Fen? No offence but they are really quite shocking or at least on road they are, I've never driven them off road yet (unless driving them off the display rocks count)

The Cherokee is a fantastic smoker; it has a reasonable sized boot, roof bars and 2 tonne+ towing capacity which is enough for a horse and/or a car transporter, plus I can pull a trailer of firewood out of one of the paddocks without worrying about getting stuck, and it's worth tuppence ha'penny so it doesn't matter if it gets scratched / dented / upside-down. The Jeep 4 litre straight 6 is a lovely engine; OK it's heavy but it has plenty of torque, reasonable power and it sounds nice. Best of all it is almost indestructible so long as the oil is changed reasonably often. The Wrangler is purely for fun. I like convertibles and I always want one when the sun comes out, but a sportscar would get limited use where I live now primarily due to the lack of ground clearance (that's why I rarely used the Mini and ultimately sold it). It is a convertible which not only has a fold down roof but removable doors and foldable windscreen. It is also manual which is difficult to find in a petrol Cherokee over here, and it has the same 4.0 straight 6 engine. There aren't many open-topped fun cars around that have decent ground clearance (and look good with that ground clearance) and are not Japanese. Lastly there is limited opportunity to do track days where I live without a reasonably long drive but conversely there is a huge forest with loads of logging tracks varying from well maintained gravel to heavily rutted / rock strewn, and even play areas such as the "Rock Garden" virtually on my doorstep. The Wrangler is already on decent sized mud tyres and will be getting taller and fitted with a winch, diff locks etc.and will be used properly off road.
