FIRST IMPRESSIONS CLUBSPORT N/GT

Lee, look at the photo on page 85 of this months (sept) Porky post. Thre is a pic of the northern mint clubsport with the split rims fitted......I remember seeing this car as it started with an L registration....

The Gmund car has a private reg and is a lightweight....so different cars I believe mate.

Yes a few minty Lightweights and seen a a few C2/C4 reliably informed only three Clubsports..............

I have seen at least 2 different M003 at Spa Francourchamps. One is called Cathy. What's yours called Des?

Badger? I might have guessed!

Loftys car at le mans is rhd with no cage, J reg and about to get RSR plate, the L reg up here is a lhd clubsport and is in this months p/post .i have photos of a lhd mint one at lemans campsite in 2003 that had a blue roll cage, on uk plates...out of interest does anyone know how much the cupcars are at autofarm?

Hi Keith,
I rang up and the M003 was ÂŁ44k and the M001 ÂŁ40k.
I guess the seller, he owned both, wanted retail money for them.
I have no other details but I did ask to be contacted by the current owner.

Des, how are your impressions of your new one after spending a few more hours in her at the weekend ?

As I was intrigued with the 300 chassis numbers allocated to NGT cars and them only making 150 ?????

I asked Thomas Schmitt about this at the weekend and he told me Porsche made 292 examples of 964 NGT cars ...he seems to know what he is talking about [;)]

Correct Paul, although in all Thomas/GT Classics adds they state 150....150 was the initial homologation build, however due to demand they built 292 according to Thomas....

Makes them a popular car and mint cars an even rarer proportion of the number built...........why would they say 150 cars in their ads when 292 cars were built???

You seemed adament it was 150 cars on this forum last week...did you also ask Herr Scmitt the same question at Eynsham???

I hope your ears have recovered after the journey, I insisted my reluctant passenger wear earplugs for the trip!

Absolutely Simon!
Simon, I saw your comments about the festival on the events forum,,,,you mentioned the trade stands seemed a waste of time selling such things as water softening devices...................
don't forget these can be very useful for preventing kettles from getting furred up [:)]

Ask them Paul.........

Anyway yes the n/GT was a noisy beast! Earplugs all weekend would have been more to the point...

Totally agree. I have a water softener but strangely, I didn't go to a Porsche get together to buy one. How stupid was I[:D]

I've often wondered at the curious stands at events that just dont "fit in" to the theme of the event.
I've come to the conclusion they are there banking on being of more interest to the bored partner who has been dragged to the event then anything else, and therefore will be given more attention than would otherwise be given by said partner[;)]

If there is a non-Porsche related trader that wants to go to a PCGB event (and therefore contribute to the coffers/defer some of the cost of the event), what would the membership rather have? The money from the trader or tell them to get lost?
I have no interest in Pashminas but I don't object to them paying to be at the show (what the heck IS a pashmina anyway?[:D])
