I actually stopped at the Wrea head last time I was in the area, but sadly they were fully booked on this weekend, they only have a few rooms, so I guess its pretty easy for them to be booked up! Lovely location though.
We do indeed finish our Saturday afternoon in Whitby, sadly it can't be the Sunday and join you guys as many of those attending are from the South and I plan to be heading that direction on Sunday afternoon... this is indeed via Castle Howard....
Up till this point I had no idea of your timings but may suggest that we leave a little earlier on the Sunday morning from our venue and join you at Malton cars for about 10.30 if thats acceptable?
I hope with us both booking the weather for that weekend, that we'll get the sunshine []

Look forward to meeting you at Specialist Cars - our timing is usually flexible to allow for members to get there - have not yet planned a route over the moors yet - have done this drive so many times its difficult to find new ones especially finding parking places for 20 vehicles plus for a "comfort" stop en route!
Hoping for a sunny weekend as well - fantastic countryside.

As newbies this was one of the regular R7 events we were most looking forward to, disappointingly can't make it as we'll be in Portugal on our hols. Definitely next time though.ORIGINAL: john holmes
After giving consideration to dates suggested at the last meeting, 27th March (Goth Week), 17th April (start of Easter holidays), I have opted for the 8th May which will hopefully be quieter following the extended holidays.
I am applying to the Council for car parking at Endeavour Wharf. As usual we will meet up at Specialist Cars, Malton, for coffee from 10 a.m. onwards before our drive over the North Yorkshire moors to Whitby. Lunch will be at Trenchers - time yet to be agreed with the manager.
If you are interested in coming along, please let me know - members from other regions are welcome.
