Hi all,

Has anyone got any smart tips, hacks or otherwise know where to get hold of 944 S2 Foglights without needing to remortgage?

Mine are cracked although amusingly in far better nick than some I’ve seen on eBay.

I realise it’s basic supply and demand, scarce resources and so on but £500 each is just daylight robbery.

Any suggestions?
 
I managed to "repair" mine using a windscreen repair kit. I used a piece of clear plastic underneath and added the resin in layers to fill the hole. It wasn't a huge hole but it looks a lot better now and I keep a close eye on it. As you say, as spares, they are expensive.
 
I’m afraid there are no other cheaper options. I have lexan stone shields in front of mine but “helicopter tape” is popular too.

The only other thing you could do is fit brake ducts in place of them or half size ducts and aftermarket square lamps - probably not ideal though.
 
I think you could buy just the glass separately at one point, not sure if that is still an option.
 
Thanks guys, some sound thinking there. I reinforced the cracked one with some clear headlight tape I got online. Seems to be holding up so far.

I will have to keep scouring the scrapyards for bargains :)
