Form an orderly queue

Well the exterior is definitely white - i've seen plenty of photo's of it now. The interior is brown and grey and is what the Autocar comment was referring to. The interior is actually growing on me. The quality of that video isn't the best.

Well from someone who doesn't like original Fuchs's I think the new ones on this car are a huge improvement. The spokes on the originals look too squashed - as if someone designed the wheel as a 19" wheel and just shrunk it without maintaining the aspect ratio's of the spokes. These look just right to my eye. I'd like to see a set of those on a 944 turbo. I wonder how light they are.

I can't think of a model that Porsche has released in the last 20yrs that people havn't slagged off. Why is it that some people think Porsche should be the only car manufacturer to remain inthe dark ages. People have short memories and forget that Porsche have consistently been the most innovative car manufacturer since the car was invented and are still pushing the boundries far more than any other car manufacturer. The new Panamera is a typical example. All people can talk about is the styling, but forget the car is one of the most innovative high performance luxury cars to hit the streets. I think it is about time they've earned the benefit of the doubt from people. There's nowt more fickle than Porsche enthusiasts!!

I like 911's and I like this one overall despite the slightly odd colour combo and its somewhat awkward efforts at a kind of retro cool. However while the Panamera may be "innovative" thats no excuse in my book to make it a fugly dogs dinner of a styling exercise. But each to their own. [:)]

Scott - same video but in high definition HERE.

Now I've been formally diagnosed as "slightly red/green colourblind", but.... if you still think this is white.... I hear Specsavers have have some good deals on at the moment. [;)]

I have little doubt it is available in white but the car in the video is certainly grey - unless the rear number plate is a new whiter than white white that makes all other whites look grey.

I'm not that keen on the stripes over the bonnet and think they are a bit unnecessary.

While on stripes, the "I bought a new GT3 because it looks like a Renault" graphics on the latest GT3's are awful. Talk about making a great car look cheap. []

Looks like an off white to me? almost slightly minty [:D]

OK, i'll accept off white i.e. cream - but it certainly isn't grey or primer grey. The quality of the video is not great, the number plate is reflective so will look whiter anyway. I think the stripes are great. I like the way they are the same colour but just a different texture. Would work well on a 944 I think.

I like it, sorry. However the ducktail makes me wonder why, if it's ok to have one now on a car that I'm guessing will go pretty close to 200mph, was it ever changed? In other words in all the time that has transpired since the 2.7rs and all the tech/windtunnel advancements and all the progressions of rear spoilers, how have they arrived fundamentally back at the beginning? Curious...
Can't believe that it's 140 vs 90 for the GT3 though. Is that really true? Sounds like VW are trying to create a self fulfilling prophecy.

Nah, can't agree with that. Off white which is cream is white with yellow or brown. Off white which is white but darker is grey. Light grey perhaps, but still grey. You can't have dark white. [;)]

Have watched the video again and at no point does it look white. The clouds look white, the number plate looks white, the white lines look white, but the car doesn't. Which is good, because I really like the colour.

To quote Porsches web site:-

"The exterior colour of the 911 Sport Classic: Sport Classic Grey. Specially developed, like the entire vehicle....."

I love the double dome roof and the interior is growing on me. The wheels and spoiler are exquisite and 400+ normaly aspirated bhp isn't to be sniffed at.....but is it really worth so much more than a GT3?

And! Only 250 to be built? I wonder if that will be like the Silver Rose? "Oh no Sir. The Silver Rose was an exclusive model" (no matter what colour you chose). Of course all the other 250 bhp Turbos that followed weren't the same.

I think the ducktail in this instance is purely for cosmetic purposes - I doubt it has been optimised in a windtunnel, though i'm sure it will have been in a wind tunnel from a safety point of view to ensure it doesn't cause any form of aerodynamic instability at high speed.

Agree pricing is crazy. A premium over a base 977C2S, but not a PREMIUM. to price this more than a GT3, which is has a limited productio run anyway, is rediculous. If they based this car on a GT3 rather than a 997C2S then maybe. But then the Cayman is overpriced and still sells well, so if they can get away with it then good luck to them.

OK, so its grey! Only just though.
