Freshening up the interior

ORIGINAL: ras62

Coming on very nicely Steve[:)]

Cheers mate....a bit different to when you were helping me rip out the soggy stuff! [:D]

Need to have it finished this weekend as it's booked in with Jonny and Dan to have those window seals sorted next Monday. [:)]

Then you will see my old girl in there looking a little naked inside! Dropped it off today and had a devil of a job getting the new seat height correct. Tomorrow I will getting down & dirty doing whatever prep is needed while we await delivery of the carpets.
PS I only found one swimming pool...OH and a wrong bolt holding the spoiler in place which cost £10.74+VAT to replace! For a bloody bolt!!

Finished it off this weekend. [:)] Some pics before and after putting the seats in:

Well done it looks the business and always a good feeling when you do the things you can, yourself [;)]

Thanks guys. It's hard work and frustrating at times but the results are well worth it. The interior is now much more like how I would have liked it when I first bought the car. And the sound of the engine is intoxicating at full chat! [:)]

Quality workmanship there Steve, I'll see if I can get the day off for the RS day at Oulton, be good to catch up with you and Paul.

Saw your car today Rob. Looks really clean inside now and is coming on nicely. [:)] Four 964s currently in their workshop at the moment!

Great job Steve-didn't know you were a carpet fitter,as well as teaman ,as well as polisher as well as tracker[:)]
Hope to be at the RS day-see you then.

All those 964's in one place and all C2's. Did you notice they all have different interiors, wheels and suspensions[:)]

Looks stylish now Steve, just the right amount of burgundy as a contrast. I'll be at Oulton a week on Friday with Paul and maybe take a good look-see. Brian.

Can I ask, I may have missed it?

whats a rough cost to have this done? im looking to have mine changed and was thinking of doing it myself but the work on this one is superb.

Thanks David, the cost to me was £325 to buy the carpet set (including shipping an import charges from the US). Plus about 40 quids worth of glue and lightweight padding. The higher quality carpet you can get from Southbound trimmers would be about twice that. Saying that, I'm very pleased with the quality of the carpet. The photos don't do it justice.

If you got a professional trimmer to supply and fit (including stripping the car), there would be a lot of hours involved. My guess is that you could be looking at a bill in the region of £2,500.
