Front Foglights, GEN 1 997 Turbo

ORIGINAL: tscaptain

I sat next to your charming lady at the evening meal in the chateau![:)]

Sorry missed this bit!

Sari actually enjoyed the Normandy trip. A weekend is about all the time she can manage with car people! She never comes to our annual Le Mans track day even to drive the turbo as she had driven my 996C4S there so had ticked that box!

Hope she didn't bore you too much talking about horses!. Hope Gary arranges something similar next year when it is not so windy.

Was probably aftermarket speedART ones then:

Could be but as seen in Germany next to the factory it looked so authentic.

Thanks for the site but £895.00 is just out of my league for something cosmetic.

Thanks for the pic of inside the fromt PU, looks far to daunting for me to attack and as I have taken the extended warranty I dare not touch anything yet.

Wonder if I can remove the foglight bulbs without dropping the bumper, they must be useful for something!. Back to the Handbook!!
Do let me know... I'd certainly at least upgrade the lamps in them, even if its to just whiter looking ones to match the headlights..

I do like the LED upgrade of the Indicator section, personally I think that is what they should have done with the Gen2 Turbo

I don't particularly like the fairy lights on the Gen 2 Carrera (too Audi [:-]) and turned mine off. I much prefer the daytime lights on the turbo.[:)] They go well with the flashing blue led's on the wheels, in the intakes, on the windscreen washers and under the sills[:D][:D]

I have them on topside of the sills [:D]

Going a little OT for a moment, Michael I'm hoping to get an event to attend one of the trackdays in France next year.
Possibly a few more trips later this year, I'm just trying to fix a date in August time...
There are quite a few wifes who enjoy horses [:)]

Did you forget to say something, Jonathan?[:D]

Gary, they don't flash though, at least mine don't. And I'm a bit concerned about the wives who enjoy horses in France. Not on the menu, I trust[:'(] Is that far enough off thread?[;)]
Like the sound of some track action in France though[8D]

I will have a poke around but probably not this weekend, and will let you know what the score is on the foglights.

I assumed that Porsche had changed the indicators on the Gen 2 Turbo into running lights as per the one I saw in Germany. If you have to have them then that is where I would like them. I assumed that Alan had just turned his off, typical if the UK version is different and at that price aftermarket is out of the question. I know a man with a screwdriver... when my warranty is up.....

Our next Track day is at Le Mans 30th and 31st July, probably full up but if anyone is really keen I am sure that I could lean on the organisers. No horses, cars only!

Keep me in touch if you do get an August date in France.

After my return from Lemans this weekend I'll try to pin some dates down...
I'm thinking of a nice trip that goes near a race track type of weekend [:)]
