Front Luggage Compartment

Well, I never knew that! Just seen this post and been out to the garage to check on my 1985 Carrera Coupe and there is a key hole on the front bonnet pull handle that I had never noticed before. Full of surprises these 911s ! But my ignition / door key won't go in. Probably stuck through lack of use! Will try the WD40 later.

Not as good an image as I would have liked but you can get the idea.

I managed to push my key into the barrel and it still would not rotate, I also squirted WD40 and still no luck. Would be interested in your developments.

Same again, I didnt notice that my 1984 targa had a key hole in the end of the trunk pull handle. I found that the main key ,ignition, door etc fitted and in fact locked the trunk. Its amazing what one finds outabout our cars

Well, well, well. I never knew that. I had never noticed the key slot in the pull handle for the front bonnet! Now with some WD40 and a little fiddling I have a locking front bonnet. Now that PCGB has finally acknowledged me as a member - after 2 years - I am learning all sorts of things.

The irony of this is the fact that I cannot get mine to work correctly.[&o]
