£100 per droplink does seem way over the top, and I'm not sure that you'd still be able to use the KLA support brackets. I guess if the drop links are strong enough, you probably don't need the support brackets anymore... Nice to hear the support brackets make a good difference. I've only just found out about them (how did I miss that one?!?) and I'm currently getting a pair powdercoated ready for fitting. I take it you can actually feel the difference during moderate to hard cornering? Anyway, let us know what solution you come up with... the standard droplink does seem rather flimsy for something that takes so much load!
