Front runner, what is it all about, who is going and what will be there.
I have only had my S2 cab for 7 months so I have not been to one befor.
If I go I will be leaving from the Giuldford Surrey area. Is any body else from the area going or Could I meet with others on the way.

I am going mate. If you want to join up on the way great. I live in Marlow right next to the M40 which is the way most people from region 19 go. M40 Oxford. then A40 etc. etc. not sure whether I'm taking the 928 or the 924 turbo yet. If I get the shockers done on the 28 then I'll take it, as I took the 924 last year.

Thanks for ypur reply but fo me I think thet the best rout is going to be via the M4 to swindon.
Does any body know whay time it starts and what will be going on there.
Most importantly will it be a laugh .

Front runner, what is it all about,

As fas as I am aware it is the monthly Cornbury Hse open day but with the emphasis on front engined Porsches. A great chance for a gathering, tyre kicking, cup of coffee, chat and perhaps something afterwards.

Look here for more info http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=85429

It's organised by Paul Hedges the 924 Register secretary and was so original and good last year they gave him an award for it [:)]

Basically a good chance for all us front engined types to gather at club HQ, chat, kick tyres, show off your car and meet people that we normally spend all year just gassing on the Forum with. The most important thing with these events is not to be shy. Introduce yourself to a stranger, ask about their car, go look at it and vice versa. We're all petrol heads when it coems down to it [;)]

its also quite funny if you spot Helen telling some poor rear engined chap to go and park behind the next-door building

That'll be where I go wrong then. You'll recognise me, I'll be the one in the corner by myself...so come and talk to me.

it will kick off about 11am @ HQ Moreton-in-Marsh, but there will be people there before that time if you arrive early. Its the second Front-Runner event to be held, and its going to be great if last year was anything to go by, even if you only want to put faces to names it's a good day out, as the turn out last year was tramendous. So polish up your PAJ put on your biggest grin and get yourself and the family down to HQ on the 1st May for Frontrunner 2 the only way to spend a sunday.

there is a small chance that i might have my 944S2 back in time to take part in this. [8D] though i was going to bring the Cayenne as last year only two cayennes made it to this event.

might see if i can find someone to drive one of the cars or borrow a trailer...

No not really but if its anything like last year alot enough to fill HQ carpark, and im hoping this year will be even bigger with more front runners turning up, every indication say's it will be a bigger event than last year, so come on show your face. I look quite distant and removed but im really a nice fella so come and say hello.
