FRONT TURBO BRAKE CALIPER **FOUND** (1986 MODEL)

if you need to get the car back on the road in a hurry you might be able to fit the calipers off a Lux. There are plenty of them around and they should fit ok. Naturally you will not be racing the car at race speeds [;)] but it will allow you more time to track down some replacements . Alternatively you could tryValley breakers in Cardiff?

Do they fit (genuine question)? It's a bit dodgy from an insurance perspective fitting a caliper downgrade.

not really sure to be honest but as they are 2 a penny its worth a try to get the car back on the road for a few weeks whilst sourcing something suitable.Given the amount of modding you lot do to your cars I doubt the insurance would be an issue. It would take a Porsche expert to tell the various calipers apart Shouldn't think it would make a lot of difference braking wise. The turbo is maybe 10-15mph higher top speed and maybe 1 second faster to 60mph but Dico is hardly going to go out and race in the present UK conditions [:D] well if he does he's got bigger balls than the rest of us. The 944S2 basically uses the earlier 944 turbo brake calipers and disks but I'm not sure if they are compatable with the 86 Turbo or a later model

ORIGINAL: 944 man The discs are of a larger diameter.
so the S2 and 86 Turbo calipers are the same but the disks on the S2 are larger dia than the 86turbo yes ? ....dayum

I think we are getting confused here [&:] Lux calipers will NOT fit onto a Turbo or S2, the disks and pads are different sizes for a start. As said previously - S2 and 220 Turbos callipers, disks, pads are the same

No problem Nick, definitely not prickly [:D] and sorry if it sounded that way. Just wanted to make sure he didn't go and buy some Lux callipers as a stopgap. If he gets really desperate, I saw a nice anchor going cheap from the QE2 yesterday :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

no worries. Still a litle sensitive from being followed all the way home into my driveway last night by a very pretty WPC who then proceeded to book me for expired MOT on the Mondy. dammit! I had to sit in the front of her car with a floodlight on in full view of my snooty neighbours whilst she took her time writing the ticket. the shame of it[:(][:(][:(]

Surely your neighbours already knew you had a Mundano, or do you always sneak it in and out under coiver of darkness?
