Anyone know more about whats going to be happening or is it a simple gathering outside? What sort of time is it going to start?
Extract from a email from R21 distribution:
4th Apr - Sunday FrontRunner display 11am to 3pm
If you have a front engine Porsche join in this event and if you don't this is a chance to see them all together. Cornbury House is hosting a front-engine Porsche gathering featuring the 924, 924 Carrera GT, 944, 968, 928 and Cayenne Registers. Dave Dennett has agreed to display his Speed Championship 2003 winning 924 racing car inside Cornbury House. Thanks to Geoff Ives, Registers Director, a short (20 mile) run is already in place for the day and approved. Also the same people who did the food (hot dogs + burgers) at Eynsham Hall will be selling at this event.
Richthomas - The day is on a PCGB Open Day (starts at 11am) so all Porsches are welcome as usual, but this is the first time (that I know of) that the front engine cars have had their own combined event so it looks like any 911 boys and girls who don't know about this are in for a shock! []
Most of Cornbury (except the office I think) will be open including Club Shop and the kitchen for tea and coffee, and there will be hot dogs and burgers to buy outside.
I'm looking forwards to seeing everyone turn up - talk cars - do the run and take a look round Club HQ, but also I think of the event as an important bit of PR for the cars and the Club.
As far as the display goes I want to keep it simple - one model from each range outside the front of Club office - I have reserved a place for a 924 and a Cayenne, but I think that since some people will be wanting to go on the 16.5 mile drive I will keep it an open display.
IE if you have a 944 and the display slot is empty - park there []

So does that mean you are paying for my fuel?
I missed this so far. I might be up for it though
Ditto, if I can finaly put my weekend contract to bed.
As many have whined about PCGB's percieved lack of interest in the water cooled front engine cars, I think it would be good to make as big a show as is possible to demonstrate that we are a large and enthusiastic part of the Club.

Blimey [] Well in that case I may try to take a long lunch and pop along. I'll be working in Warwick that day, but I just realised its only 22 miles away

No need for actual sun - I'm not one of those soft cabrio drivers. So long as it isn't actually raining I should be there, with the roof down of course []
I'll be working in Warwick that day
Fancy a bit of a convoy down then?? It looks like I'll be going on my own now and I live near Warwick. I've been to Cornbury before so I know where I'm going too[]
Do you know anything about the displays? Do we just contact the RS or is someone else organising it. And have you got any detials of the planned run or do we just turn up and join?
Cheers[8D]
