Frontrunner - 4th April

That's a nice line of 944's [:)]

You must have been standing right in front of my car (out of sight to the right) when taking that

Heres another........just make out your front end Diver.

Got Fens though.

and to everyone that came up to me and pointed out the fluid under my car. Thanks, I don't know what it is yet, but my coolant and PAS fluids were at their normal level, and it wasn't oil. I'm hoping it was just some water caught on my undertray and running off because I was parked slightly sloping

Perhaps it was wheel cleaner[;)]

Nice to see some of the 944 forum regulars - Fen, Tony, Rich and Rick.

Rigpig and Dan, if you made it there, sorry that I couldn't hunt you down and say hello.

I was there, had a good time :) My car was parked at the end near the camper van next to the 911. Sorry I never spoke to many of you I spoke to Rick whose wheels I was lusting after :) and went on the run which only had 5 cars (was the other silver Turbo a Silver Rose?)

I've come to the conclusion that rick is either a lottery winner or lives in a tent in order to be able to spend more money on desirable 944 bits :)

I saw Fens car and would have loved to pinch his mirrors but there were always too many people admiring it.

Tim.

Was a really really good day - great to meet everyone [:)]

Counted 24 944's at one point - total number of Frontrunners was about 71 I think with hardly a parking space to be found!

Glad to hear there was a good turn out, but even more gutted that I couldn't make it.

Hope to make Husbourne though.

Oi!

Sorry I missed you (and Ricky - unless I spoke to either of you but didn't click who you were, not impossible...) - it would have been good to put a face to the name.

I enjoyed the day, topped off with a nice pub lunch and a drive home with the roof down, albeit that there is now road grime down the inside of the door glass (and the door cards, in fact).

Unfortunately something came up at the last minute and I couldn't make it. Seeing the pictures, I am doubly gutted! Ah well, looking forward to the Cotswold Rally - and maybe my first trackday this year? [8D]

really enjoyed sunday, my favourate 944 was the Pink one. never seen one in that colour before. never did find the owner[&o]

A really excellent turnout.

It's what Cornbury House was made for - hosting great cars and like minded conversation.

Cayennes looked good!![;)]

The 968 line was stunning though.

I'll down load my pics later. I am sure Helen will post a few.

Well done Paul et al for a great day.

I took a friend with me yesterday and he was so impressed he's been getting insurance quotes this morning for S2's and Turbo's :)

Tim.

Yeah, it was a really good day, nice to see so many 944's in one place[;)]

It was good to put faces to some names, nice to meet everyone, especially Paul, Fen, Rick, Tony and Tony.[8D]

That pub lunch was good, and Fen, I owe you a pint[:D]

I forgot to bring my camera into work today, so I'll try and post some pics tomorrow

Rich

I think the pink one came all the way from Portugal (but I never found the owner, maybe Paul Hedges kows)

The 'pink' 944 cabrio was indeed driven from Portugal and was the second car to arrive! The owner is one Paul Akehurst de Visme (I think that is right) - had a chat with him during the day, and got a photo of him as well.

If there had been a distance award I think he would have won it [:)]

In that case I suggest that you book quickly. One week after the announcement in Porsche Post 1 third of the 100 places had been taken.

Pre 1984 cars will be in the Special Classic Group numbers ie 2 digit numbers on the Rally Plate other will have 3 digits in their numbers.

What's the Cotswold Rally all about? I'm only asking because I can't find any info on it and might be interested. Where does it start, does it cost to take part, and what do you have to do?? Is it a race or a drive round the cotswolds? If so I might be up for it.[:D]

Rich

OK Pictures are uploaded

HERE

I'm just editing down some of the hours in car video we took on the day. Should be up tomorrow some time.

Enjoy .... [:)][:)]

Rick

Thanks Rick,

some nice pics especially nice is the Silver Turbo (D958 TWB) dunno who that belongs to though [;)]

Cheers, Tim.

P.S. If you want to give me your alloy wheels I won't object?

Thanks Tim. Unfortunately, the wheels are bolted up quite tightly !!

I have got a spare set of OZ genuine Magnesium 5 spoke items.

18x10.5 & 18x14.5. Got them off an ex-Lemans McLaren F1GT-R to go on my RS500. Any offers (you'' have to change your hubs to centrelock and modify your wheel arches !!!) ???

Rick.

Is there no end to the depths of this man? :ROFLMAO:

And I thought drummers were suposed to be stupid [:D]

On that note, what is the difference between foot spa and a drummer?

The first one bucks up you feet, whilst the latter ..........

You've got to be a guitarist to realy appreciate that. [;)]
