Time: Sunday 6th April. Starting at 10am.
Venue: Cornbury House.

Frontrunner event including a "˜Car Boot Autojumble. This is free just bring along any parts or accessories for front engine Porsche cars. Items must be sold from a Porsche car, no vans etc. This ideal for someone with just one or 2 surplus parts and for members looking for that small component that may be lurking in your garage.

There will be a couple of special cars in Cornbury House and a hot food outlet.
In the afternoon there will be a 40 mile rally for Front Engine Porsches. If you are interested in entering the Rally (entry fee £5) please contact me, Geoff Ives at r31@porscheclubgb.com Hury because entries will close in 10 days time

I f you aren't going already WHY NOT?

This is a great event and includes one of Geoff's famous tulip runs. If you compare the price of Front Runner to the Cotswold Rally (which is cheap any way) £5 is one of the bargains of the year.

This will be one of the first national 944 gatherings of the year and has always been a great laugh.

If you have a two way radio you can join in the banter during the run - or just listen in.

I will be driving up from Essex in the morning so anyone interested in meeting at South Mims for a convoy shout up.

I`m 25 mins from South Mims but would love to meet up (breaker , breaker , rubber duck etc etc )

I could make a bit of a detour and come get you from Aylesbury if you'd like to feel some boost [;)]. Or maybe we could rendezvous around Brackley and leave the van there?

We hope to go if my car is out of the paint shop and i can get it into the the work shop next door to have the clutch done !!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys [:D] I spoke to the bodyshop today and there's a small chance it may make it along (but probably without the SC) although I'm not holding that much hope on it as it needs an MOT now too, so something is bound to throw a spanner in the works.

I definately intend to be there whatever happens as I've almost forgotten what a whole 944 looks like (seeing Andy's cabriolet last week doesn't count as someone had nicked his roof [;)]) and may well take you up on your very kind offers.

I really want to get to this and sell some bits i have kicking about in my Garage, can i join in on a convoy!!??[:D]Paul?

The services at Jct 15a of the M1 at 9am would seem as good a place as any to meet up if your'e coming down from Leicester

Ooooohhhhh ... I've just realised the significance of that date ... we are going on holiday that day, to North Wales.

And funnily enough, Cornbury House is pretty much mid-way between London and North Wales.

Are other halves invited?

Oli.

Frontrunner is a social event in the same vein as the Cotswold Rally, rather than the tyre-kicking blokey stuff like the Reading lunches.
Somehow you have made the whole event much less appealing to me, while making it more likely that we will go.

Both at the same time.

Funny, eh?

Paul, if thats ok would love to meet up at the services 15a M1 9am, morning of frontrunners for a convoy thanks for that, hope its dry weather![:D]

Ha! Mrs zcacogp is happy to trog along ...

Now to decide upon the convoy option, or whether to make our own way there.

Oli.

Nearer the time, but I'd suggest that a few cars might coincidentally meet up at Oxford Services. There will be a couple of cars coming from the M25 direction, and it's a nice run from there.

Dark of the moon, on the 6th of June,
In a Ken'worth hauling logs,
Cab over Pete' with a refer on
And a Jimmy hauling Hogs

We were heading for Bear on the I 1 O
About a mile out of Shaky Town
"Pig Pen, his 'ere's The Rubber Duck
