Perhaps I should tax, insure and mot my Mi16 [8|]

I started out with a P reg Cavalier coupe (Manta!) which after the enginer returned fron Scholar with 50% mor power was rather brisk for the time[:D]

Around about 1984 IIRC. My neighbour back then loved his big fords...before that one he had a Zodiac and his son's first car was a 2 litre capri in white complete with vinyl roof.

The mexico holed a piston in the 1.6 engine and the only thing we could find to drop in while it was repaired was an engine from an RS2000 [8D]

I'm loving hearing about everyone's old heroes....more please [:D]
 
I wouldn't call it a hero, but this is my first motor. Actually, that's not fair, it was a hero when you remember just how much abuse it used to put up with.

Mine's the poverty spec red one. How I would have loved Hellas or KCs instead of those Rally Giants [:D]

Now those are what I call minis! [:)] Miles better than the modern BMW, fashion statement versions [:-]

And as for heroes....there looks to be a couple in the second photo [:D]

Agreed! That "Granny" is quality. I bet there are not many left of that model these days. Cool 'scort as well.
