It's a stab in the dark but if the aircon is on when the roof is up, is it not posible that the roof is going to be up more at this time of year. Also Martin's theory about the engine taking longer to reach operating temprature needs to be taken into account.ORIGINAL: boxster27
Andy, good thoughts but I'm using same fuel and buy most of my fuel at the same location, and the aircon is on if the roof is up.
It's all these little things that have an accumulative effect.

I've got a 3.2 Boxster S , had it about a month now and love it and thats part of the problem: my wife and I use it at every opportunity leaving our everyday car (a Jaguar X-Type Diesel Estate) sitting in the driveway. Consequently our fuel consumption to date is a touch lower than I would have hoped (lots of short journeys). Seems to be 23 -24mpg which I suppose is not bad for a 3.2 litre car but my old 964 3.6 averaged 27mpg-ish though I tended to use that for longer journeys. Interesting to see how this compares with other owners.

My 2000 MY "S" averages about 28 per tank full on a mixture of A & B roads and motorways but on the I O M about 13mpg[][] - it must be the hills???
