Ok people how many cars are still running through the winter and or just getting her out of bed ready for one of those sunny days we are promised every year.
Paul
PS instead of porsches on the quay we are now doing Porsches on the Prom in sunny Weymouth on 15/07/16 from 1730-2200
come on down and make it memorial[see R26 page]

Can't think who you're referring to Paul, I'm using my Porsche every day (except weekends) clocking up 350 miles per week - EVERY week!

Beat that...

I have a place down in Dorset so I will be there in Weymouth

And yes my 911 is still tucked up in the garage

Judge Geoffrey - known to make grown men cry - after throwing their toys out of the pram!

I might enter the Boxster...

Yes, mine's been tucked up in the garage for the last 6 weeks (been on hols) BUT, its sunny this morning so yipppeeeeeee, it'll have a whiz around the countryside this morning.

Good Morning
Collected my 'new' (to me) red 1989 3.2 Coupe Sport from Alan and team at Canfords yesterday - took a while to adjust to it after my 997 GTS! Still it'll provide a good work out for my arms and legs. It's a wonderful car.

Congratulations - that car is a beauty.

Hi KEVS500, If I'm looking at the right pictures on the Cranford site (Red 1989) it looks like a good original car and with air con. I hope you have good fun in it, the enjoyment is delivered at lower speeds than the 99X models. I've known a few 99X owners buy a Carrera 3.2 for this reason. It looks like you have the original locking wheel nuts fitted. I feel my wheels are more secure with the 993 type fitted 993.361.057.00 about £40-£50 from your local PC or check independents. Steve

Ahh Garage Queens! My 3.2 had become one again. I originally had an 89 3.2 Targa with 32k original miles, car was immaculate, won every concourse I went in except one where I was deducted 5 points for not having a pcb badge ?? I did have one but it was on the rear quarter window and the doddery judge missed it.... The first place went to another chap in the club who'd never beaten me.... He was so chuffed I didn't have the heart to challenge the marking. Car was simply too good to use so I sold it ....regretted it and bought a coupe ,87 3.2, black with linen leather and all the bits, which I used regularly until three years ago. Took it off the road and started a resto project which was meant to take 3 months. Got shafted by nasty business partner and the 911 took a back seat whilst I sorted that out. Got the car sorted with the help of my son who is an ace mechanic and last September I fell off a bloody ladder breaking my femur and hip badly!
Couldnt drive , couldn't even walk. Driven nuts by inane daytime tele and no cricket to watch I started reading my old Porsche mags, ( I have masses much to my partners dismay! She thinks you should read them and throw them away!????) ...What?????????
anyway this got me motivated and I set myself the goal of driving the 911 asap. It's pretty good physio just getting in and out let alone driving with no pas etc but it sure worked... By the End of November I was driving it and have done so on most decent dry days since including a quick blast today.
These cars need to be driven and enjoyed, sadly you see fewer on the roads nowadays, I think
more have become garage queens since their values have shot up which is a shame.
Im determined mine won't be one of them ????

Graham,

Quite a saga of events you've had - do you think you could get the 911 running cost (petrol etc) on the NHS as its obviously helping your physiotherapy!!

Mines only a garage queen when the roads are being salted, otherwise I use it as much as possible.

Just had a new upgraded lightweight clutch and LSD fitted in readiness for a few spring Euro tour sand classic Le Mans.

A good clean followed by a dose of Waxoil should keep the dreaded salt away from the underside. Mine has done 132K so far and gets used weekly even in winter for pub run-outs.
