Gauging interest for R10 track day

All booked and ready for the 2nd Feb at Bedford[:D][8D]
If anyone else would like to join us, you're very welcome[:)]

Yup I would be interested in a track event especially if its our own club and at the Bedford site. But bit later in the year when running is guaranteed in my case, Spring time perhaps.

It would take PCGB themselves to arrange a Club-only event - there's no way our region could get enough drivers to fill a track day.

Chris.

Note to anyone coming to Bedford on Monday:

Signing on from 07:30
Briefing starts at 08:30
Track opens at 9:00
Lunch is an hour from 12:30
Track closes when its dark!

Noise limits are static 101db @ 3/4 revs; drive by 87.5db.

We will be on the SEN circuit as the full circuit isn't finished yet.

Chris.

Winter tyres would probably be appropriate too [max temps of -2 to +2 deg C predicted for the day].

Be careful chaps and have a great day.

Jeff

It will be fine.

I remember racing at Brands Hatch where before they would allow us on track, they needed to clear the snow first.

This was done with a call over the Public Address system for any spectators who would like to take their cars round the track. Within half an hour the track was fine.

Don't think it would be allowed these days.

Did one track day a couple of years back and the Elise I was driving arrived covered in snow. Temperature was -13C when I arrived at Silverstone!

Chris.

What a marvellous day - very lucky as the weather turned out. Cold but dry, bright and sunny for the most. The 924T performed great and it all gave me a good introduction to tracking [:)] Also fortunate to have such a small number on track.
Thanks again Chris for putting me on to this - the passenger ride in your Boxster was brilliant, as to be expected [:D][:D]
