Gaydon 31st May - Who's going?

Me too, always plenty of 944's.

Book your spaces in advance on the 4 mile test track before they run out [8D]

Hmmm, we complete on the Monday, house packers are in on the Saturday and Jane's away this week, leaving me with a list of things to do.

I might not make it....[:(]

I've booked a 12pm track session [:D]

We need to see the new S2 Paul, can't believe you'd let a little thing like moving house get in the way [;)] Besides, it's in the right direction, sort of :ROFLMAO:

We need to see the new S2 Paul

See new avatar, thanks Fred and Mark, who are both far more qualified to be forum admin than me. [&o]

As I'm busy on the 31st, another pic here. [:)]

Now it doesn't look quite so smart, as it has waxoyl dripping out of every orifice. Paranoid? [&:]

Thatd make a better profile picture; I think. The new ones not nealry as good as the front 3/4 of your MY86.

I'm defiantely going as I work clashed on this event every year for the last 4[]

Hope to bump into you this time Peter

Paul what is the 4 mile track/drive thingy?

I'll be there, with the wife and dog. Come and say hi if you see us, should be easy to spot with this wee terror running about excitedly:

We should be parked up with the Scottish TIPEC region. Got two track runs booked"”one for me and one for Jen. She hasn't driven the Turbo for almost a whole year, so that should be interesting!

Lee, the track run is a ten minute blast"”four laps behind a (pretty quick!) pace car, around the test track shared by Aston Martin, Jaguar and Land Rover. As an added bonus you can spot all sorts of semi-disguised prototype cars parked up on the way over to the track "¦ which is why they confiscate all cameras and phones before letting you out there!

It's too late to book track runs in advance now, so if you want a go you'll need to be there early doors to book one at the museum reception. There's not many left.

Here's an aerial view. Its basically a six lane motorway comprising two 1.5 mile straights with some very wide curves at either end to make a loosely shaped letter L

Will be there. And will be looking at 944's too as I'm in the market for one so I hope the cars for sale area is brimming with 'em!

Jim Hearnden is running a Q&A session for prospective 944 buyers early on the morning (11:30 I think, but check the show programme when you get there). He'll be to one side of the museum entrance for that, speaking over the PA system. Could be handy for you!

The Heritage Motor Centre is right next-door to the Land Rover, Jaguar and Aston Martin factories"”hence the test track and 4x4 course linked to the site. I guess it proves pretty handy for those three companies when they need to entertain.

I believe the hecklers are gathering circa 11am so they can co-ordinate the really tricky questions for him [:D]
